I have been taking cold showers alot lately, it seems to be even better in the summer for obvious reasons. I turn my shower on all the way cold, and i stay in it for a good 5-10 min turning my body in ways that i know will be overwhelmingly cold. I feel like a new person when i get out. I don't know if the cold is good for your body, or i just like the adrenaline rush, or both, but its good shit.

it's actually good.. it helps the blood flow... its kinda like people who do polar plunges... but not to that extreme.. but your body definitely will burn away some cals when its forced to warm up its core so not to go into hypothermia

It's also really good for your hair. It makes it like, extra shiny.

Yeah it probly is good everyday. But I only do it like once a week cause i just do it when i feel like it. Even though its good and refreshing it kinda sucks just getting yourself to do it. Good to get positive feedbac in this thread tho.

Eek, I hate cold showers but at the end of every warm one I let the water run cold and dunk my head under it because I've read it's good for the hair, as someone else said, and is a good idea to finish a face wash with cold water.

I take em every day. Yeah it sux to jump into ice water n can feel like i cant breath but then comes the point where i enjoy it cause I'm fully awake, breathing very deeply, feeling emotionally ready for anything, and very energized (like coffee), and its good for me and the earth.

    Love em!

I don't like cold showers too much unless I am way overheated, which is rare. I love hot ones. Cold showers can be dangerous if you're drunk too, contrary to what many people believe.

showers in the dark? Now that sounds a little crazy, unless theres a woman in there with you. I think it would take a woman to make me do something nuts like that. lol, what else is new.

Yeah, hot water opens the pores, so it's good to wash with it, and then cold water closes them again

that way no new dirt can get trapped. For so many reasons, I always have a hot shower, followed by a cold couple minute rinse after training/using a sauna.
