A friend and I were on our way to a festival in Mo. We got stopped for speeding. My friend got a minor possession charge out of the stop and I got nothing as the driver. They took my picture and his. What do they do with this? I'm from IL and am wondering if they send it to my local police station to have me checked out? I'm kinda worried.
the gov't is really tightening up the noose in this post 9/11 time of war and national security stuff.. you could be a terrorist for all they know. the do know you're funding terrorists by smoking herb. in the future don't stick you neck out that far by speeding with drugs in the car. stick your neck out and the man can put his big fat boot on it and knife you in the face.
Cops do keep track of the people they find suspicious. If they see you again they'll know your face, and I'm guessing that they're guessing that you're a guy likely to have weed on you at one time or another.
I had my picture taken once when i left my licence at home...the cop said it was standard procedure when someone didnt have their license on them. I think thats bullshit but it makes sense in terms of illegal immigration laws and what not. i really have no idea why they would take your picture if you had your license on you though
