How do anarchists propose that the power of corporations be nullified? Not only the state but the large corporations also have a lot of power. In an anarchist society it seems that there would be locally based businesses instead of corporations.

to answer your question though lines.
the government here in the u.s.a. or, any other government could abolish corporations with a snap of their fingers... problem solve!

so, why don't governments do it?
now we move from easy magic to, hardcore reality!

we can look at our history in the west (i use western civilization since, most of us here are, from western countries.) i refer, to that period in western history, that lasted about 1,000 years called, the dark and middle ages.
with the fall of the western roman empire, the war lords whom were able to form their own kingdoms and, the roman catholic church formed an alliance from hell. that alliance fused church and state into what was called 'the futial system' of government.
that 1,000 years was the most horrible time period in western history for about 95% of the population.
the 5% of the population that, was of the church caste and, the royal caste fucked over the other 95% however they saw fit!
when the futial system did finally collapse from it's own hubris and, if hubris is not brought under contoal in time, it always leads to nemesis.
the zero-sum game of the middle ages was reveled for how evil it was.
it's fall started in norway with the christian king of norway, olaf tryggvason. tryggvason went on a bloodbath in norway, to convert the population to christiany. the royals and the serfs rose up in civil war and, deposed tryggvason. jarl (earl) hakon was elected the new king of norway by, the royals.
hakon's first act as king, was in a written charter was, to abolish the union of church and state forever in norway. for ending the tyranny of church and state in norway, after hakon death, the house of the royals, confired upon hakon, the title of 'hakon the good.'
no other king or queen of norway has that title.
with hakon's stroke of a pin... the gig was up for, the cooked schime of church and state.
it took a while but, the house of cards of church and state was starting to fall apart.

as an aside. i am of norwegian decent and, thanks to the icelandic ancestry bank, i can trace my family ancestry back to king harald graycloak.
EVERYONE BOW DOWN AND KISS MY ROYAL ASS!
no, please, don't bow or try to kiss my ass... i'm way, way, way, too far over in the radical end of politics. i fail at being a monarchist... which, as far, as i'm concerned, is a GREAT THING INDEED!:sifone:

now, what does all that history shit i gave above, have to do with corporations?

just like in the middle ages; it took only one government, to break the contract with church and state and, the whole system started to fall apart.
the corporate system may seem all powerfull; yet, all over the world, from time to time, a government does try to revoke a charter to a corporation.
when will a government somewhere have the balls to carry that through? i have no ideal whatsoever. i just know this though. things are going to have to get one hell of super shitty world wide for that to happen.
heaven and hell help us all, if it means taking the whole plaint over the cliff to break corporations!

Anarchistic metabolic exchange it seems would occur according to an individuals capacity to engage with the elements, and a groups capacity to concur.
