I'm not a nudist, but I am very against America's dualist puritanical and "slutty" nature when it comes to sex. I think that where nudists have real trouble being accepted by society; isn't just fear of nudity in general, but that the enthusiasm it takes to declare oneself as a nudist, is analogued to fetishism by most; something no clean American has. Thoughts?
The US has a very puritanical attitude and also a very high rate of teenage pregnancies. I think the two may be connected.
The problem is that most people outside of nudism think that nudists are sex deviants because they are flashing their uglies, and must want to fuck anything with a heartbeat and this may be true to some but not to a true nudist. Ask any real nudist and they will tell you that they don't think of rooting everything and anything just because they have removed their clothing, we look and admire the bodies of those not scared to show off imperfections, but don't think of them as a sex object.....well we don't anyway, i may be wrong, but nudity is a lifestyle not a fetish!
I wonder what happened to privacy. I mean, like dude, come on! Ok, so I'm in my back yard naked as a jay bird. Does that give the neighbors the right to complain? They don't like what they see when they look between the cracks in the fence? Well, maybe look AWAY, then? Respect is a two way street. You have to respect the rights and privacies of others if you want yours to be respected. I'll run around naked in my backyard, thank you very much. You go do whatever the hell it is you do in your backyard. I don't care! Welcome to America, brutha!
Before I went to my first public nude setting for myself, I had a phobia and a discrimination against naked ugly people. Then again most young men do. But once I was there myself and experienced it enough, the ugliness doesn't traumatize you anymore (unless it is under extreme circumstances). Nudists embrace their appearances from head to toe. Too often people equate nudity to sex. But it doesn't always have to be that way.
clothing is self-shame. clothing industry and porn industry walk hand in hand to the bank. of course the exception is utility and decoration - ie. the purpose for clothing to begin with... then perverts started wearing clothes...
Clothes have their advantages. Without them, humans wouldn't have been able to disperse and settle in colder climates.
No one has remarked on my thoughts except to say that the reason people don't like nudists is because they are nude.
