Of course. The biggest lobbyist against any marijuana law reforms are in order of what they stand to lose are the
    Pharmaceutical lobby
    Alcohol lobby
    Tobacco lobby

    Stupid greedy fuckers!!!!
Sad thing is the number of people that will listen to bullshit like the campaign mentioned above and be "horrified" by the dangers of the evil weed.
    Really pisses me off.
It would piss me off even if I never smoked a joint in my life because it is all based on myth and lies and not on fact and reality.

If it passes though I'm gonna grow my 25 square foot garden out in the middle of my back yard and tell my Coast guard neighbor and his DEA brother to suck my sack!!!!

True, but now they're openly donating money to oppose Prop 19. It doesn't surprise me, but it still licks donkey taint.

Nerve damage and dead skin, looks like this week my boss wins again
Didn't get that respect, no, didn't get that raise in my paycheck
I'll get ahead next week, but tonight I'm having trouble trying to sleep
Cigarettes and coffee, these addictions tear apart my insides

And when I'm gone you'll find someone new
To kill themselves like you forced me to

No, I can't get my health back and
Now, I want my old life back
As, you count your money stack
While, I ice my broken back

Paint thinner in a fresh wound, can't fight these infections in my body
Gonna get outta here real soon, I miss the sun and I'm getting pretty sick of the moon
9 to 5 will make you lose your head, 7 to 7 and you're probably better off dead
Sick of kneeling on concrete, but I need the money and I got to make ends meet.

And when I'm gone you'll find someone new
To kill themselves like you forced me to

No, I can't get my health back and
Now, I want my old life back
As, you count your money stack
While, I ice my broken back

And sadly the american pastures won't be informed.

I dont understand why every pot smoker in america doesn't just march to washington and camp out on the streets in front of congress day after day until the prohibition is lifted.

We have worldwide communication in front of our faces, yet not utilizing it to its full potential :(

Budweiser has been funding groups like CAMP and other such groups since at least the mid 80s. Thats one of the reasons I try to stick with imports:)

Anyone buying into the notion that the federal government has the slightest concern about what's just and fair for regular folks over the interests of big business and big money is being willfully deluded in light of how the economic situation has been handled with trillions being dumped into big banks, bankrupt automakers, and government expansion while the concept of mortgage rescue is little more than press release legislation aimed at fooling working (and struggling) people into believing that the government intends to help them. It doesn't.

The social injustice of marijuana laws isn't even on their radar so using that as an argument is going to be given a deaf ear. It is, always has been, and always will be about the corporate interests. The fight for legalization will only have a chance if this is taken into account and corporations can be made to believe that legalization is in their interests OR those who want us to believe they represent us in congress believe without question that their very careers depend on making drug policy socially rational. It might be noteworthy to point out my belief that groups like NORML are NOT part of this picture as their very existence and ability to raise money is contingent on marijuana being illegal.

I'm not getting your meaning with this last bit. Are you saying that you believe that NORML would behind closed doors oppose legalization because if legalized it would make their whole point of existance moot?

That's so fucking ridiculas and what really pisses me off about it is that it wouldn't really surprise me if it panned out that way. Fucking humanity...

indeed... that's why i don't vote.. because the real vote is in the dollar you spend.. if the big business is not making the money then they are not running the country anymore... but realistically.. all the sheeple would have to make dramatic changes in what they bought for it to make a difference... but at least its more gratifying than wasting your time voting...
