    Hey all,

I've been committed to getting dreads since about the end of feb 2010 by way of neglect or natural or whatever, and recently my hair has begun to dread. My hair is around 5 or 6 inches long probably, and the dread has just started at the tips..maybe like an inch long or something. I probably have 5 or 6 little clumps in all. So I still have a long ways to go. But I'm wondering if washing my hair with baking soda is going to affect them. I've done it once before, maybe a month ago, and loved it. But i didn't know if it would hurt the dreads in an early stage.

let me know what you think

    thanks

Your hair isn't going to spontaneously un-knot so dont worry about it

Just beware the dreaded baking soda slime

now that they are knotting up...wash and scrub the heck out of them! Clean hair knots better and scrubbing can make knots. Gopher it.
