Ive done LSD only once, and it was by far one of the most profound experiences of my entire life, and i may do it again sometime in the future because of its beauty. LSD has some effect on the way people think and, steve jobs (inventor of apple computers) said using lsd was one of the most important things hes done throughout the course of his life. I was just wondering if anyone else on here feels the same way, and if lsd has sparked some idea in your head that has brought you success

t's not a drug that really changed me at all and I find the kind of thing Steve jobs said really silly. I loved taking it but it's just like seeing some weird swirly patterns etc. If you want to intellectualise about it you can do but there's no need for it and how can something that takes you away from reality so much actually mean anything?

I would'nt put lsd in the catagory of an important drug though I've done it well over 20 times and have'nt really had any BIG life changing experiences with it. I think of it more as something to do durring the night or day time for some fun, like MDMA. The only drug I would consider to have given me an important spiritual experience is DMT. for the reason that on DMT I have had crazier visuals with morals attached. Everytime I take it I allways find something that I should change to make myself a more happier person. although I've had many bad DMT trips which have made me want to stay away from certain things.

Why the hell do you do it then? I actually know the answer to that question. I feel like you're the type just out looking for a show. Some pretty visuals and a "trippy" experience.

There are a lot of people on this forum, myself included, that use lsd as a tool in their lives. Yes, as a tool to help them in their lives in the real world. Go figure and the best part is it works for a lot of us. Obviously, everyone is different (I feel like i say this a lot), so just because YOU do or don't find it useful or haven't had a profound experience doesn't mean other people have or have not. The world doesn't work that way. LSD has taught me a lot and probably saved my life. Was it LSD directly that did it? Probably not. Were the ideas and the abilities to conquer those obstacles in me the whole time? Definitely. But LSD can help bring those things to the forefront of one's consciousness.

I agree, i defiantly took LSD for the opening of the mind aspect, i wanted to better myself and open my mind to this mysterious unexplored consciousness, and like you said Joe sort of use it as a "tool"

agree with me or not but, I think the only drugs FOR ME with spiritual morals are those that take complete controll over your body and make it so you can't do anything about your trip, at any dose, low or high. But I do highly agree lsd is a drug that contains the magnificent beauty we're all looking for, and the grand danger we're trying to avoid.

You know you could take more phlyfinch or try to get some stronger tabs, but like i said to each their own. LSD just may not be your jam.

I don't know. I feel even LSD is similar to interpersonal deep weed trips. An eye-opener and somewhat enlightening towards certain things, a LOT of fun, but after the dust is all settled I really can't tell you what all my weed smoking or LSD taking has done for me and my life. Nothing, in fact.

Of course at the time of dosing it feels like it is doing so much and you are learning so much but.... what about an honest look at it in retrospect?

Edit: Or perhaps it's because of for the life of me, I cannot reconstruct thoughts gathered during high periods when sober.

Are you implying that it cant?

Its not about what IT does for your life. Drugs do nothing for your life and its greatness. What these drugs do is open your eyes and thoughts to the possibilities your life actually holds. Its up to us as psychedelic explorers to take what it offers us and turn it into something that slides into the deck of this material world. They wipe you temporarily of your ego, morals, everything to show you that there is more than birth, work, and death. Its a fragile thing easily abused and vastly enjoyed. I cant say that feeling of a new perspective is ever non-apparent after a trip. That might just be for me or a handful of us but, until stated otherwise, thats how I feel about it.

That being said: work with the feelings rather than thoughts because the thoughts arent possible with the ego of sober you. Which it is important to stay sober between serious trip of course. Not only time to recuperate but to reflect on whats happening in your head

Just my two cents I suppose, nothing more really.

If you find DMT more spiritual expirience than LSD, well it is, but don't underestimate lsd. The only thing you need to do is up your dose. Try 500ugs or more and you will see what we are talking about. I had great realisations with DMT, but they were only cream on the cake made by LSD. Well, let me correct myself, not made by lsd, made by me by lsd's recipe ;)

Another hint (and somebody already mentioned it) while tripping on lsd, concentrate on feelings, those feelings that you feel mean a lot, and when you are sober, you will easily remember feelings, while thoughts can't be remembered that well from simple reason that you had million of them during the trip. And when you remember certain feeling, you will remeber thoughts connected to that feeling, and you will understand what lsd brought in front of your nose to notice and learn.

definitely. people get caught up in the thinking and forget about the feeling. embrace the visceral moment of now with all your attention.
