The MTV awards have come and gone again. Everyone was talking about Lady Gaga's outfit. But the big question for me is: Who won the '16 and Pregnant' award and the 'Teen Mom' award? .
Brittney spear's little sister? I thought Gaga's dress was stupid and offensive. Those animals died for nothing, that shits me. She's talented in the music department but her personality is boring as bat shit, which is no surprise as she uses her elaborate costumes to fill the void where her brain should be. Besides Grace Jones did it first, and better. Taylor swift's song to Kanye was the lamest thing I've seen in a while. As much as I hate Kanye, holy shit get over it there's worse things that can happen to you. All this and I didn't even watch the awards.
I believe you have it wrong. Lady Gaga knows what she is doing, and she just so happens to do it very well. how many concerts have you put on? how does your bank account compare? everyone should stop hating and learn something.. (either way you are giving her your energy, hating or loving her) this is what people pay for. this is what makes people 'famous' anyway, I didn't watch it.
In the early days, MTV used to actually show music videos like Rod Stewart's 'Young Turks', which, in a way, glamorized the pregnant teen couple running away together. Now MTV runs reality shows like '16 and Pregnant' and 'Teen Mom' which don't seem so glamorous. .
I don't hate her or love her, I don't care about her. I didn't say she has an unsuccessful career. I said she is actually musically talented. I don't envy her career or her bank account. But every time I've heard her talk in interviews it's like... wow... you would expect someone who dresses so crazy to be at least interesting. It's just a tool... that's all I'm saying. The only thing I've learnt from her is shock people and you get publicity, but I guess I already knew that anyway
people were talking about gaga's outfit? it was already on the cover of a magzine before that. i guess people dont look at magazines much. imo, its the same concept as the dog tied to the wall in an exhibition of Guillermo Vargas. the artist tied a dog to a wall without food or water. after weeks, the dog just died then people freaked the fuck out. one theme of the exhibit is a rhetorical question: why wasn't someone serious enough to stop this person from killing this animal? why didn't someone help? for the sake of art?? i thought everyone would be talking about frickin taylor swift's retarded reference back to last year. GROW UP, BITCH
That beat Kanye's song has is so sick, the intro was awesome. Everything else about the show: fuck it. Its just MTV's commercialized shit and Im not a fan of any of the music... except Taylor Swift, I catch myself listening to her songs whenever they come through the radio.
if a genius, expertised in the art of music, made music, there would be MUCH more people that would at least acknowledge its good music, preference aside. kanye's music, and hiphop in general is a love or hate thing for the most part. musically, hes retarded and mediocre. as a lyricist, hes good. genius? absolutely not. therefore, you're whack
Maybe I got the wrong message from "therefore, youre whack"? Sorry man, didnt think that was cool calling Libra whack if you meant it like that
nah nothing against hip-hip at all. im just saying kanye is whack, along with libra for thinking hes a genius haha just my opinion tho
Kanye had the best performance there. Also, did anyone notice that he sang better than Rihanna did live? I mean, Rihanna didn't even look like she wanted to be there which is maybe why she sounded so mediocre...
yeah it's probably the first time i've mentioned her, anyway talking about something doesn't mean you care about it. and i was more talking about her outfit originally anyway.
Younger people in China sometimes say "Oh my lady gaga" instead of "Oh my goodness/god." But besides that, I don't know anything about her and I'm not interested. I guess that is because I am way out in left field compared to most people my age, in regards to music. With my unknown Indie* bands, obscure ambient and IDM techno, post rock (some from countries some people have probably never heard of) and really old Rock n' roll. Meh, I'm happy that way. (unknown indie, for example, "The sleepover disaster" and "Everything is made in China" (band is from Russia though).
