I'm 100% positive im going to get this tattoo once i get back home, I'm in the army and about to come home for 24 days.

It's going to be on my right shoulder and its going to be of a big archaic looking book that is left open

    Kinda like this

and there is a grim reaper that is laying agianst the book with his arms over the tops of the book.

But replace the sofa with the open book haha.

There is enough space to see in the top left corner of the book the word All and in the top right Pain and in the bottom left Shall and in the bottom right Cease. So it would look like this.

    All Pain
    Shall Cease

Oh and also the grim reaper would look very relaxed, very comfortable, and would have a very big grin on his face and have a light cig in his hand with smoking coming out of it. He would also have a stop watch dangling from him, from his chest area, just a little one not like a flava flav watch haha.

To explain it, like what it means and shit, i made up while i was training and it just stuck with me....that one day all our pain and all our struggles that we have in life will end. The grim reaper helps to portray that one day he will come and take life away from us. The Clock hangning from him is pretty plain and simple, we all have a limited time to live here.

The reason why hes relaxed and has a huge grin on his face and smoking is to show that you need to enjoy your life while you can, dont let little bullshit hold you back.

Thats pretty much the "reason" for everything.

    Opinions, thoughts?

pain, suffering, and all the struggling is part of life and human experience. i wouldn't give any of it up. life's beautiful.

be sure, that's what you want to carry on your body for the rest of your life though. it cannot be overstated that it will be permanent. don't just go with the first thing that crosses your mind. in my opinion a tattoo should be expressing something that's been with you all your life, something you know will never change about you. quotes and motivational comments can be a passing mood and you might find it obsolete/ridiculous in a few years. so try to think a little into the future and whether you'd want the same thing to be on you then.

I didn't get my first (and the only--so far) tattoo till i was 25. And it expresses something i've been ever since i was born.
