it was a joke!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a joke!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a joke!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a joke!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a joke!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a joke!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a joke!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!
I used to be the same way. Always wore it simply because it seemed socially unacceptable not to. Then one day I was walking into a store as a middle aged woman was walking out. I was choked by the extreme amount of perfume she was wearing, my eyes started watering and I got a headache. In that moment I told myself if people can drown themselves in manufactured smells that bother a large amount of people then I can walk around smelling the way I naturally should.
I got your point after the first time you said it Just because you were joking doesn't mean I'm going to refrain from making a point! thats a very good point. I have a headache at work every day from the women that wear perfume...if I have to deal with that, they should be able to deal with a lil bit of B.O!!
I have a few friends who get such bad reactions to perfumes and strong deodorants (axe etc) that they often can't go out for a full day without having a reaction to it. Meanwhile I have yet to encounter a single person who is physically reacting to my natural odor. Sure they have the mental objections that society has taught us, but no physical reactions. Yet the one causing actual harm to people is okay... Sad sad world. I say be smelly! Be natural. Those who know me and I can call friends never have an issue with it. In fact I have had a few strangers stop me before and comment that it was refreshing to smell humanity over man made smells.
Duck. I don't believe or think that "hippies" are "young". There were the hippies and the yuppies and the yippies but there are no 'young' hippies now. Young people could wish they were hippies back in the day... say sixties and seventies with the quality selections of artists and music we enjoyed but ..... young Hippies? No sir/ma'm there is no such animal. What you're smelling are hormones. Strong virile driving force of the "young". But you didn't need Me to tell you this.. You being so wise and all that Kind Regards, Sixties
Some of that crap they call perfume makes me wanna puke. I'd rather nuzzle a rotting cow with my nose than sniff the garbage they spray on themselves. And if that stuff is that bad, I wonder what their real odor is like. Ewwwwww...WWWW! A woman.... that can satisfy billions of men.....? Scary!
Actually, I agree. What I'm smelling is way too many hormones. And I agree with all the posters that don't like overpowering smells of perfume or whatnot either.
I disagree with this post because it is based on the assumption that all of the Old Hippies either became Yuppies, didn't have kids or if they did they didn't pass on the values. I'd like to submit these videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8rwURmzBf8"]YouTube - Introducing Stone Soup Institute, Part 1 of 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3IpasDVnJ4&feature=related"]YouTube - Introducing Stone Soup Institute, part 2 of 2 This is my dad's school. He passed the philosophies and life skills that he knew on to me and I have evolved them into my modern life. So This is why I say I'm a Young or Middle Aged Hippie. Peace Out, Rev J
"Hippies" of any age don't exist... just another stereotype... all which exists is individuals... and individuals of all age groups can relate to the "hippie ideal"...
very cool. I definitely think "hippie" is a way of life that can be passed down. I see it all the time in my friends' children and also in my friends' parents.
Exactly. Even in the kids who rebelled there is a certain amount of Hippie values. That's why I often joke that punks are just hippies with attitude problems. Under the Purple Mohawk and behind the facial jewelery there is a hippie in waiting. You can't be pissed off all of your life. Peace Out, Rev J
I can get thru anything any heat any amount of hours i have been awake if i can take a shower! The longest ever ive gone without a bath is a week on a protest site, then a bathed in a bath in the moon and it was so worth the wait- best bath ever in the history of my bathing!!! Most mornings if i have access to water il have a strip wash - if i cant i dont simple if I was living without water id make it my mission to get clean im not afraid of dirt or getting dirty and im certainly not afraid of being clean. If people smell bad i either tell them or walk away its up to them... Not keen on people inflicting there smells on me when im not in a hot sweaty wiv them,it just rude to think everyone wants to smell ya! Being smelly is fine being clean is better in my world-
