Yesterday afternoon as I was driving back from the grocery store, I went through my housing tract and passed by one of the cul de sacs. There were four young (college age) people, two guys and two girls, playing some kind of racquet game (badminton?) in the street of the cul de sac. All of them were barefoot. Summer is indeed in full swing!

We were in Phoenix over the weekend. At a Diamondbacks baseball game there was a woman wandering barefoot around the stadium but she had her high-heeled sandals in her hand. Later going home there was a girl, ~20?, hanging out on a street corner barefoot, no shoes in sight, crossed the street, and then hung out on the opposite street corner. Unfortunately she seemed a bit messed up.

I'm telling you, my neighborhood has lots of "seasonal" barefooters, just as I wrote recently with the four young people playing badminton in their cul de sac barefoot. :)

I forgot to mention another neighbor I spotted when I was on my way to work one morning about a week and a half ago, around 6:30 a.m. He lives in a house on a corner near a main thoroughfare here in my city and he looks to be in his mid- to late 40s. I sometimes see him and his family (he has two kids) walking through my neighborhood (wearing shoes) during the morning hours. As I was driving past his house on the main road, I saw this guy walking on the sidewalk in front of his house, on the side facing the main street (looks like he had just picked up the morning paper on his driveway). He was walking along with the paper in hand and looking at something he spotted on the lawn, and he was barefoot. What I found interesting was that since he wears shorts a lot, his legs were really tan but his feet were really pale, which told me he rarely goes barefoot--or even wears flip-flops--outside. (Like he was wearing flesh-colored toe socks!) :D

I was out in London last night, around Trafalgar, Leicester Square, Soho, etc
There were literally dozens of (often drunk and/or scantily dressed) barefoot girls, carrying their ridiculously impractical high heels because they couldn't walk straight in them
I saw a few who were actually wearing them nearly turn their ankles over on the at-times cobbled and generally uneven roads.
I tried to avoid snickering too loudly; I think my bf got tired of my derision for high heels in general and people like that :p

I was wearing sandals at the time. Whilst I like going barefoot I wouldn't do in that part of London at that sort of time...

Yesterday I was at a vintage car race and there were many barefooters walking and lounging around on the grass. Several had no shoes in sight. Also in town a young man talking on his cell phone (the cell was the only thing in his hands). Since his soles were very dirty he must have been barefoot for quite a while.

my father was raised in a small village in the north of cyprus when he was younger. he never wore shoes, infact he got his first shoes when he got his first job working in a factory (well they were boots and they were given to him by the factory owner.) so he sees barefooting as a normal ordinary part of his life not as a barefooting 'movement', or fetish or w/e

but his feet are like rock!!

I saw a lady shopping barefoot at the convenience store. We smiled at each other as we passed by. Thank God for this continuing barefoot weather. Barefoot in October:p

    Cheers

Friday I came across 2 guys and 1 girl at IPFW campus. This campus appears to be very barefoot friendly. I didn't see any of them with any shoes. As for myself m
I left my shoes at home.

There was a lass crossing the square outside the front of our college barefoot earlier today. Not the first time I've seen gals doing it. (I've done it a few times, though I usually save barefooting to other places)

I saw a hippy couple at the gas station this morning and the lady was barefoot. It was kind of cool this morning, so it was good to have barefootin company

    Cheers!

  11. Excellent transitional barefoot weather---not too hot, not too cold, it's JUST RIGHT for the three (or so) barefooters.....

I was at a public park near the river on a bike ride for gym class (shod, because I don't like my bare toes contacting pavement at 20 miles per hour) and I saw a couple women get out of their car barefoot, dressed in hippy-ish skirts. I saw them walking around a little bit in a wooded area near the trail. I have no clue what they were doing.

Around noontime today I was on my way to the grocery store and was stopped at a stoplight. There was a guy who looked to be in his mid- to late 50s crossing the street in front of me dressed in a T-shirt and shorts--and he was also barefoot! Today's weather was sunny and upper 80s F/31 C, so perfect barefooting weather. Something nice to see on this date, 10/10/10! :)

Surprise... I'm not the only male barefooter in our town in cool weather conditions. At least today I wasn't, as I was on the bus barefoot, as usual after work, and just as the bus was entering the center of the town I live in, it passed a ped corssing, where a man in his thirties was waiting at a red light, looking like a regular and normal person in jeans outfit (not hippie-ish at all), wearing what I thought at first, quite skin-colored shoes... only as the bus drew nearer to him, I noticed, that his toes were wiggling freely and bare while he stood there. No chance for a face-to-face or toe-to-toe encounter, though,as we were on different routes, and the next stop was too far away to get off the bus and meet him.

Good to know, though, that there are more people around enjoying even the cooler fall weather in their bare feet.

    Wiggling bare toes,

    ~*Ganesha*~

Late teens, I'd guess. Both were in shorts and tank tops.

Having some unusually warm November weather around here; stopped at Trader Joe's after work and saw a teenage girl (16-18, I'd guess)with a nice tan barefoot in the parking lot, soles black, reaching into an SUV for something. She ran into the store, then came out with an older woman, probably her mom, who sadly was not barefoot, but in flip-flops.

For those who want to know, the girl was in faded denim shorts and a camisole.
