I have VERY curly poofy hair, so ive been looking for wholely natural ways to make my hair uber hydrated. So, anyways, I have not washed my hair in like.... six days. Is this gross or bad for it? And if anyone has any suggestins, please tell me. I really, really hate my hair. And I'm trying not to straighten it because its soooo fried..
After awhile, your hair will get used to not being washed and you won't have to wash it. Maybe only once a week or something, but it definitely gets used to not washing. Why don't you just get it professionaly straightened? Or get one of those deep conditioners for your hair.
I've tried getting it professonaly straightened- it didnt work. :[ I want it to grow so I dont have to essentially burn it. lol. I use mayo as a deep conditioner, it works. I just want it to grow.
i have the same problem with my hair but i still strighten mine but i since you dont want to strighten yours anymore i would try and nurse your hair back to health by using spiecl shampoos and theres but when i leave my hair curly i put gel and mouse in it right after i wash it so it doest get frizzy and look dry.
you can do that or you can just use a little bit of shampoo, like just a fucking dab. and then use however much conditioner. that is what i do and i have super thick curly hair. arty:
Depending on how clean your water is you really don't need to wash it. Most shampoo strips the natural hair follicles from your head anyways. There is so much sodium this sodium that, especially color dyes, they are in almost everything. Horrible for you. It will make your skin on your head more itchy, very dry, and peel for some. Thus fixing this problem means you need to wash your hair again. Leaving it very frizzy and no moisture left in the roots. I quit washing my hair daily almost 2 years ago. I tend to do it every 3rd month. Honestly, people don't even see the difference. I rinse it with warm not hot water. Then before i get out i usually rise it once more with cold water. It feels great. It does depend on the water though. Luck for me we have our own well, the water can't get any more pure. City water tends to make it more greasy.
