What was USA's role in the USSR collapse

Given that the U.S. has successfully overthrown numerous governments around the world and currently attempting to overthrow numerous govt;s, is it safe to assume the U.S had something to do with the Soviet collapse?

One reason the old U.S.S.R. collapsed is that they had to spend so much money trying to out do us militarily,politically & financially!

The Chernobyl nuclear disaster ruined the credibility of the Soviet Union with its own citizens.

Americans are always taking way too much credit. we should credit those citizens of The Soviet Union and its Warsaw Pact of understanding the bullshit system that they had to endure for so long.
