Given that the U.S. has successfully overthrown numerous governments around the world and currently attempting to overthrow numerous govt;s, is it safe to assume the U.S had something to do with the Soviet collapse?
One reason the old U.S.S.R. collapsed is that they had to spend so much money trying to out do us militarily, politically & financially! Johnathonatriot:
You’re both right the long war in afghanistan and cold war spending crippled the once mighty soviet union and the warsaw pact nations. In the process that fool Ronald Reagan left office with the greatest budget deficit in history of the united states Hotwater
we outspent them, so we "won" but we haven't stopped spending so eventually, we will lose too . . . [lose to whom? ]
The soviet union collapsed because the filthy Americans slipped it a roofie and the soviet awoke one morning to discover it's blouse had been undone, and it's powers spread- if you catch my drift..
you know whats going to funny when European countries laugh at the western nation and our own collapse which is actually very close to happening... America manipulated the USSR economic system through sabotage
I would imagine that our budget deficit is larger today than back in 1992. The Chernobyl nuclear disaster ruined the credibility of the Soviet Union with its own citizens. Americans are always taking way too much credit. we should credit those citizens of The Soviet Union and its Warsaw Pact of understanding the bullshit system that they had to endure for so long. .
