Any Spokanites?

I grew up in Spokane and most of my family still resides there. I'm now in Wenatchee and hit the Spokane area every two months or so. I like it, but would never move back...

 

Especially with all the gang crime, lots of murders and robberies and meth. The only reason I ever go there is for concerts and Cat Tails.

 

I hear you. When I visit with my buddies and go out to the pubs/bars, there always seems to be fights and whatnot. Highschool drama bullshit. My Dad's house also got robbed about 5 years ago. When I lived there, my stereo got stolen from my Jeep twice There are nice areas the further you get from town though....it has gone downhill quite a bit from when I first moved there in '91, thats for sure.

 

My sister lives in Spokane, and I'm not too far.

 

i somewhat disagree, they're here, you just gotta know where to look. very scarce, compared to the amount of douchebag gangsters and posers, but there will be douchebags no matter where you go, spokane just....has excess. my major dislike about it are the streets, especially right now with all this fucking snow, and how ridiculously infatuated people here are with ecstacy, it makes me feel like a lost kind around here lol.

spokane sucks, but it could be much worse, we get some pretty chronic weed most of the time, and the right people are here if you look hard. barterfairs are probably where the city gets most of its points in my opinion, but the local barterfairs have been overrun by people thizzin all the time and getting drunk and making a bunch of fucked up drama, and just overall acting like it's one giant party outside, its kinda depressing, seems like it defeats the purpose. it's not what it used to be a couple years back. atleast it's closer to tonasket than seattle, but that's pretty much all it's got goin for it sometimes.

Come to CDA, its really different from Spokane. Little hippies, the only gangster losers are teens that never do anything but act tough. There is no X, there is no acid, nothing but small amounts of drugs on occasion and average bud.

 

I don't know about that, I havn't spent much time out there, but I have a couple buddies from CDA and it seems like they're always getting doses, molly's a plenty, and more common than normal X, atleast between them, and all of them are pretty much hippies, but they might have good connections i'm guessing. They do complain about the bud around there though, come to think of it they usually come out here for it

 

I have only seen acid here once, but they wanted $20 a hit. I know about some people getting x from friends but I've never had the chance to buy. Spokane gets all the bud going west from Seattle and south from Canada. we just get what else makes it over here.

 

I live near Moscow Idaho(a couple hours south
of Spokane-depending on how you drive). There
are lots of hippies here. I know several up near
Santa too. I am glad I don't live in Spokane though,
the cops up there are always killing somebody.
Anybody been to the Santa Barter Fair? I go just
about every year...... check out Arlene's booth (my
friend she is like the queen of the old hippies) she
has the best tie dye around!!!

Spokane isnt that bad, its a lot better then some places ive lived. love the drum circles, need to go there more often

 

Yeah Spokane isn't too bad. I lived out there for like 6 years and it's pretty tight once you get to know the area. But Delfynasa's right the cops are always killing somebody (the mentally challenged, the suicidal, old people etc.). Probably the worst place I ever lived in terms of the cops, and I grew up in Tacoma (Hilltop). You just gotta learn to run real fast lol.

Im 70 miles north of Spocompton. I love it here. There is going to be a Rainbow regoinal next month in Pend Oreille county and Rainbow annual is in Montana next June.
