extreme much? I had lice for a long time, because I had very long thick hair. We tried everything to get rid of them, I finally poured kerosene on my head in an act of desperation. I don't regret killing them at all. I can still feel how itchy I was. They are parasites. Parasites must have some use, but it's probably not a good one. Like spreading the plague, and west nile and all that jazz. Furthermore, a lice infestion left would eventually harm you; you could easily get an infection from scratching, and the social and personal implications would be severe. Many would consider you mentally ill for not treating them.
Putting kerosene on your head is very dangerous. While they are understandably upsetting, there is no good reason to be desperate about head lice. Getting rid of lice is just a matter of diligently interfering with their life cycle.
Uh yeah Im usually cautious but my mum used the chemist stuff on me as a kid and they went no problem
Wow, is this thread still going? This is so typical of HF, the OP can have disappeared for months on end but one of their first threads can still be active almost a year later
Well, I was pretty aware putting kerosene on my head was dangerous. I was at wits end, and I was also in like the 6th grade. And this was after multiple attempts at RID and the like. I survived quite well. Unlike the lice.
Afraid to kill head lice????? I give up. There is responsiblity to all life, and then there is FAIL. This is on the same level as those families who won't take their sick children to the doctor because they believe that God will save their kids. It's an infestation, like a disease. I hope that you're not this opposed to killing bacteria. What do you do if your home gets infested with roaches, I wonder?
hey guys, im new here, im also vegetarian. but i also think that not killing head lice is a bit ridiculous, i mean they are parasites. i know they are made my god but i just think that its weird not to get rid of them. head lice are pests. you should treat them as one.
