salvia trip report

I feel like posting this for some reason..

Me and my girlfriend and then my buddy and his girlfriend did salvia yesterday. I was the only one who has done it before. They were all so nervous because they've heard such bad things but I kept telling them it would be fine.

Anyway, we sit down and mix the two bags together. The other 3 times I've done salvia we've always gotten it from a corner store (stupid but the headshops would never sell to us back then) but this time I wanted to go and try to get it from a headshop because the quality would probably be much better.. And it was I'll tell you that.

So we're sitting down and I pack big ass bong toke and I take the whole thing in one giant hoot. I'm holding it in......Holding.......Holding.... Exhale... 3 seconds go by and I can feel it creeping up. It was NOTHING like salvia I've done in the past.

I started laughing because I knew it was gonna be strong. I was looking around and just kept laughing. I was trying to talk but I couldn't. I felt like a retard because I couldn't talk but I felt so good and everyone was laughing so I kept howling.

Then someone said a word that ended with the letter "E" and I swear to god I saw the word kind of pop up all pixelated and then the letter "E" started falling into the ground. It was like a whole bunch of "E"'s were falling off of a waterfall and falling into the ground.

Then I could hear cheering, like a crowd. It got all bright for a second and then it started fading away. I was still laughing through the whole thing, it was so fucking funny.

Then when I looked behind me I was like "Oh... The wall is there". And we laughed some more.

I can't believe I actually hallucinated, it was fucking sick.

Then my buddies girlfriend tried it and she sat in her chair looking blank and my friend was going "hello, hello? answer, hello?" and then she bursted out laughing and then just sat there some more. When her trip ended she said she felt like she was in a story and that all of the people in the room looked like squares and triangles.

The fucked up thing is that my girlfriend and my buddy didn't feel the full effects. Oh well, maybe they'll hold it in longer next time and it will work. I know that me and my friends girlfriend had a blast though. So fucking sick lol.

My trip felt so long but they said it was only like 3 minutes. It's weird how time feels different.

After we smoked it we watched Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and it tripped me out. I felt an eerie vibe all around me... I always feel weird when I watch that movie, but I like the feeling. It lets me know I'm alive.

Then my friends girlfriend started complaining that she had a really bad headache and I told her it was normal because of the salvia. Even I had a headache that was pretty annoying but I knew it was just because of the salvia so I didn't pay attention to it much.

Anyway, it was a pretty sick trip for me at least. I fuckin' love salvia.

I think the reason that I have such good experiences on drugs like shrooms and salvia is because I research them a lot and read lots of trip reports so I know what to expect and I'm always looking forward to having a blast and I always do.

Sounds awesome, I'm glad you had a good time... however, no amount of research or hearsay will ever prepare you for what you will experience if she decides to take hold, chew you up and spit you out. Sounds like she was kind to you this time, but she has an ugly side that I hope you and all who haven't seen it will forever be spared the sight of...

 

i'm with SweetBlasphemy. i tried salvia three times in my life. twice was when i was 17 or 18. i got really high, weird body high, and laughed. but it felt like it wasn't worth it, so i kinda wrote it off.
well i tried it again a few months ago, and it wasn't funny to say the least. it was terrifying.

your quote is almost the same as my experience.

except i took a second bong hit now. then i don't remember exhaling, or what happened to the bong, or what happened to the room and the couch i was just sitting on.

 

My trips on salvia weren't nearly as intense but they were enjoyable. The first time I did it my buddy and I put on Led Zeppelin's The Song Remains The Same. As soon as I finished my hits I sat down and heard on the movie John Paul Jones reading a bedtime story to his kids. For some reason it set me off into complete laughing hysterics for a solid five minutes. Then once that died down I went into a mellow high for a while during the music and I could swear that I felt each note from Jimmy Page's guitar escape from the tv and pulse through my body. It was incredible. It was most intense around Since I've Been Loving You, No Quarter and The Song Remains The Same.

The second time I did it I was in this girl's dorm room at college and I didn't get much of a trip at all. It wasn't a good atmosphere. I put on The Doors and relaxed but the trip was no more intense than smoking a little bit of pot.

Anywho, I want to get some salvia. Every time I smoke it I feel like I'm in Vietnam. Ha.

 

This is a very good trip report. Thank you so much for sharing. The people who are warning about the darker side of this teacher plant are correct. At higher doses it is very dissociative and tends to max out the weird and bizarre meters. Psychedelics demand respect and care, attention to set and setting, as well as good research, and even then there are no guarantees.

Be prepared at any time for an active Salvia tripper to "sleepwalk," or actually get up and act out the vision. Forget about meaningful communication - just ensure they do not hurt themselves or others . . .

i really don't buy all the evil/ugly side rhetoric around lady sal.. as in, i don't believe the plant is bringing the evil/ugly to the table

i don't really think it's an inherently evil or ugly thing. the sheer intensity of it is just kinda frightening.

 

i will not say salvia is evil, but I will say it is its intention to kick your ass. I thought i was a bad ass at drugs too until I completely dissociated from reality, lost concept of time and space, forgot I did any drugs at all, and was 100% convinced my salvia trip was real, that the universe was unzipping, and that it was the end of the world as i knew it. Terrifing but interesting. Salvia at 10x and 20x isnt probably too bad of an idea to experience what it is capable of, but how some one could find the kind of trip I had on salvia enjoyable and even want to repeat the experience is beyond me

 

^^you don't kinda wonder if you could have a better time, now that you kinda know what to expect? i haven't tried it again since breaking through though. i gave the rest of mine away.

 

idk thats like asking "how do you prepare for forgetting that you're on drugs". to be honest mostly im just to much of a pussy lol the experience is just too alien for me. I tried DMT around 5 times at waka this year and as absolutely crazy as each of those trips were I never had to be phsyically restained, I never forgot I was on DMT, and each experience was (for the most part) enjoyable. Salvia just straight up kicked my ass. Maybe i just cant handle salvia but to me the experience was not enjoyable, spiritual or worth the risk of repeating.

when I tried it, it was a bit too much of a mindfuck to be enjoyable. just pure hallucinations:eggnog:
about fearing the effects of salvia I think that alot of it depends on your mindset. If yo go in willing to just take whatever is gonna be shown to you as just part of your imagination without giving it too much weight you should be fine.

 

Good report op. Salvia trips can be amazing and hilarious but like others have said approach it with respect or a bad trip is inevitable.

This is knowledge right here especially for such limited experience with salvia. Salvia in my experience seems to be more disengrating than dmt. After about 10 trips with dmt I have started to get somewhat hesitant towards it as well though. It speeds up heartrate and I kind of get a little ancy adrenaline rush when I prepare to smoke it. Salvia is always like a more deep breaths and hope for the best type preparation.

One part that may be exposed with repeated use is that salvia can be a profoundly moving spiritual experience in the same way mushrooms and mescaline cactus can be. I have on a few journeys felt connected to some superior ancient wisdom as where dmt feels more like interacting with some sleek futuristic intelligence. Both have kicked my ass but Salvia can be a bit more ruthless and torturous IMO.

 

Salvia makes me go willy nilly. I love the short time of absolute changing of person and reality. Those are the times when you really get to know yourself, tripping balls to no end. Amen.

 

Salvia is awesome because it was my most intense psychedelic moment to date when I smoked some while on lsd. But IMO the salvia body high is DISGUSTING. I will never try it again unless I have MDMA because guerillabedlam says its a good combo to cancel out salvia's body high. But even then I would hesitate, I can't stand the body high.

 

iv never had salvia, but iv had similer things eg NOT POT, DREAM AND FTP, dnt knw if anybodys had them before, i hated the feeling of all of them. the first one i ever had was NOT POT, the first trip i had the first time i took it wasnt as bad, but when you go to take it for a second time u think u know whats gonna happen, but it was so much different, i remember i took a hit of the bong and i thort the smoke was coming out of the pours of my body and when my mate was talking and i could see his mouth moving but the words were coming out slower then he was talking and i remember looking in a mirror and my reflection was jumping around and going crazy and my head was just like spinning none stop. i dnt like any mind trips, i havent taken them since then.

 

i didn't know you tried salvia on LSD. tell me more, please
