This story goes way back. http://www.katu.com/news/national/10625457.html It was a hit soap opera style news story for CNN back when they were becoming a major player. .
I didn't realize one of the rescuers committed suicide. "In 1995, paramedic and rescuer Robert O'Donnell, who wriggled into the passageway and slathered a frightened Jessica in petroleum jelly before sliding her out into the bright television lights, shot and killed himself at his parents' ranch outside Midland." .
Freaky what happened to the police officer who helped rescue the little girl. "In 2004, William Andrew Glasscock Jr., a former Midland police officer who helped in the rescue, was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison on charges of sexual exploitation of a child and improper storage of explosives. A year later, he was sentenced to 20 years on two state charges of sexual assault." .
aparently I dont't get embedding https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icCPOOrJXos"]YouTube- Jessica McClure
She sounds fairly ignorant and ungrateful. That money will probably be pissed away pretty quick. Apparently she was Super Baby and got out of that well all by herself.

Summary of Glasscock: 6/30/2004 -- A former Midland police officer who helped in the 1987 rescue of "Baby Jessica McClure" was sentenced Tuesday to 15 years in federal prison on charges of sexual exploitation of a child and improper storage of explosives. William Andrew Glasscock Jr., 52, pleaded guilty to the charges in February, admitting he used a hidden camera to film a 12-year-old girl undressing, and getting in and out of the shower last summer at his Greenwood home. He also admitted he received hundreds of images over his computer of child pornography during a three-year span. .
I have a well that is exactly like this picture. It is 18 feet deep and has a cement cap on it that is removable if needed. To the North side of the well there is a 50 foot crushed stone track bed for collection and purification of the water that is buried about 6 feet deep. We hit a spring when we dug the new well.
"Glasscock also admitted he stored 400 pounds of high explosives, 1,700 blasting caps, a detonator cord, an artillery shell, two pipe bombs and four homemade hand grenades at his Midland County home." .
She may be getting about a million bucks next year from the trust fund, but it was a result of people willingly donating in response to what was a true accident. Compare that today with people who blur reality with TV shows and try to profit by fabricating 'accidents' such a little boy supposedly getting carried away in a balloon. .
