I know that opium poppys will grow in many places outdoors, like were I live and also in green houses, but I was wondered if growing opium oppys in a hydroponic grow operation would be possible? I know if you adjusted the ph of the water and added the proper fertilzers to simulate natural growing conditions and used grow lights and kept the poppys at a certain temparature ,that growing them indside in soil is a very good way to grow them, but I wonder about a hydro setup..would that just be a waste of time. I wonder or not?

If I recall I think there is a book called 'Hydroponic Heroin'
I too was pondering the same thing.

I think I have heard of the book I beleive, but I am not 100% sure. I would really think that it would be possible to grow opium hydro style, but I wonder if it would be any better than indoor soil with grow lights.Maybe like with indoor bud,a person could grow higher yielding opium poppys, yield as in amount harvested and potentcy of the alkaliods...It would be cool to find out huh..
