I know someone who IN THE WINTER TIME goes outside @ night NUDE and plows themselves into the snow!! (They say it makes them feel good) I suppose it can but MAN WOULD IT BE COLD!!!!! (Especially on your feet i reckon)
I've jumped out of a hot spring and rolled in the snow in my swim trunks before. Very er, refreshing. Everyone should try it at least once.
I used to love doing that. Unfortuately now I live in the city. I'd probably get arrested if I tried it.
I'd love to do that, shame it doesn't snow that often where I live, plus I've got low fences so my neighbors would see,
I probably would if I didnt have neighbors I do go out barefoot in the snow ..I can only do it for a few minutes though because -30C starts to hurt quick I usually do it just before going to bed..Ill go barefoot to check and make sure the vehicles and garage are locked up
there is this Korean Chinese guy who runs every winter in Philadelphia on the Schuylkill river almost every year
Well Ive heard of out of the sauna into the snow. In canada, we'll cut a hole in the ice and jump in naked it's called a polar dip.
Where i'm from it is pretty much a constant 30C, no need to worry about snow! love being nuded up and in public!
I've tried doing the "polar bear" thing at home a few times just to experience it. I'd jump into a really warm shower, stay there for a while to really get my skin temperature up, and then plunge into a bath tub of ice cold water. It will certainly wake you up - more than coffee! :coffee: After the icy plunge, I've gotta go back to the hot shower - I can't take staying cold. Anyhow, the whole experience is invigorating, but I've heard it can be hard on the heart, particularly if you're old or out of shape.
Done it a few times, last year we had friends round and drink shed the inhibitions and a few of us were rolling around in the white stuff, even my partner who's previously given me a stiff talking to for that sort of behaviour and threatened to lock me out if I don't change my ways!
If the ambient air temp is very cold, just stepping out is quite a challenge. I've done it only once, ploughing head first into powder snow. Frankly I could not wait to get back inside the lodge and get all the sticky ice of me!! It's common each winter here in Australia: just a bit of an exhibitionist challenge that often springs from a group dare after a drink ... or two ... or three ... or more...
I very much enjoy going out in the snow barefoot. It is a way to feel the pureness of the snow covering of the earth.
