this is way better than the Dead... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHhKnc0XZrs"]You Tube BUT i still like the dead though
I found your previous statement quite amusing and did have an audible chuckle, but I would appreciate if you explained yourself so that I may fully understand your desired message.
i love the allman brothers LOVE THEM LOVE THEM but as a deadhead i know that my heart goes w/the grateful dead through and through. if you guys see furthur you may or may not see the light, but i assure you there is nothing left to do but smile smile smile. :cheers2: the motherfucking grateful dead
the dead and the allmans are 2 of my favorite bands im listening to the allmans live at stonybrook 9-19-1971
The Allman bros. are the shit, but whether they compare to the Dead or not is irrelevant... Opinion can be changed SO easily when you change the founding conditions for them. They are both amazing in their own ways and should be viewed with an open mind... like most things in life
The Allman Brothers are amazing. I personally don't don't really like the Dead all that much though, if at all.
I dont think I will ever have just one fav band in my whole life !!!! I always have to have like top 5 or 20!
Nope. Though there is the joke, "What did the deadhead say when he ran out of dope? .... What's that shitty music?" there are plenty of straight people who like the Dead, and likewise, you don't have to be stoned to enjoy music. Though again, it's a truism that listening to NEW music, it's nice to be high; kinda opens up the brain. Like listening to jazz as a n00bie, it all sounds kinda the same until you hear a lot of it, except if you are high it gets through faster. Anyway, get ahold of Duane and some of the group jamming with the Dead - I have a live tape and you can hear, as the Dead chug out a nice dance rhythm Duane starts pealing off these beautiful high notes. Phil gets right behind him, then the whole band segues into the new music. Beautiful. Saying x is better than y is kinda silly; if you are in the mood for Blues you play John Lee Hooker or Muddy Waters, if you are in the mood to think, you might play Mozart etc etc
i enjoyed that much more than any dead song i've heard. and i went to (kinda) see further. i was behind the stage though - not the best spot. i'm just not really a dead fan.
they played this at least twice at fillmore east. the one on the album is more dramatic with the vocals, but this one has more guitar..
