I posted this on another thread, and someone suggested I post it in this one. I recently discovered 4-MMC (mephedrone), and love it. It's a very legit chemical. However, a friend was importing it from China, and it is now illegal in China. So now I am trying to hit up many different companies that offer custom synthesis. I've gotten some responses, but most of them are asking for more information. I don't know very much about chemistry, so if anyone knows how to respond to this, your help would be greatly appreciated! Here's a snippet from their e-mail: I believe the compound you have requested 2-methylamino-1-p-tolylpropan-1 is not something we have ever made in the past. I would need more information regarding the structure and what isotope labellling you rquire. We only label with Carbon 13, Nitrogen 15 or, Deuterium . If anyone knows anything about chemistry, please help me give them the information they need! I hope this doesn't mean that they are unable to do the synthesis.
If they are doing isotope labeling they are TO legit for your purposes and the 4-mmc they make will be unfucking godly expensive. And radioactive. The are talking about making 4-mmc which includes a radioactive isotope of carbon or whatever.
Well damn... I've been messaging companies for a week now. If anyone is comfortable PM'ing me a good lead, I would much appreciate it. Any other advice? Where should I search now?
Your too in depth, the companys you want will know what it is, because they have decided themselves to walk in the legal gray area to make it. Seems you have found a legit company that works in 100% legal chemicals, don't communicte at all with them, and hope they forget we don't want these chemicals getting out.
go to wikipedia, look up the chemical you desire, grab the chemical diagram, and send it to them. if this company is as legit as they seem, they'll know how to make it from just that information. also, radioactive carbon isotopes are incredibly stable: the most unstable carbon isotope, carbon-14 has a half-life of 5000 years, and is already present in all living things. it's nothing to worry about.
^True, but that doesn't change the fact the price will be outrageous and the company won't likely deal with him anyway. The places that the OP needs to be looking for don't need to custom synth it, they make it already.
Yeah, the isotope may or may not have any important implications (for instance, the isotopes of elements used in medical imaging that they inject or otherwise administer you before certain imaging techniques such as CT & MRI scans in order to make certain organs/tissues/cells appear during the scan) but I would be concerned about cost concerns. There are a ton of vendors for said chemical so just look around.
Dont bother trying this, you wont be able to import it. I recently tried ti import some DOI, actually cleared all customs but DHL wanted a vat number off me. I refused the product just incase. There are comapnies that sell mephedrone and wont lable it correctly for you. Also, is your are going to order of f such companies, order with a CAS number as that will give them an iso arrangement in which they are asking for. Theres four different CAS numberd for DOI, (i know your not on about DOI) But, theuirs quite a big difference in strength. My advice is to not bother, chinese customs have to do a madatory chemical test, which companies pay $80 for the privialge before ytour goods our sent out.
