Though new to the site, I'm no stranger to psychadelics or altered states of consciousness.. but I never got the chance to try DMT while I was still able to get it (I had friends who regularly extracted it/smoked it, amongst many other plentiful products). At this point, I'm twiddling my thumbs and smoking some so-so schwag (still schwag though). Occasionally I'll have the opportunity for something more interesting, but my sources here are.. well.. shit. This isn't me working up to asking for connections, I'm going somewhere with this I'm trying to decide which is more worthwhile (or which I should do first)-- Extract the DMT myself (not hard, but takes time-- plus I'm inexperienced with extraction) OR Prepare the Ayahuasca decoction using Syrian Rue and Mimosa hostilis from an online herbal retailer. (seems fishy to me since I don't know anyone personally who's tried it) I've heard so many conflicting opinions I'm not really sure what to believe. While sites like Erowid attempt to eliminate the guesswork, I'm skeptical. Is it actually possible to "make" a DMT-containing substance with legal inregedients? After all, I'm not really interested in turning my bathroom into my personal vomitarium.
I still didn't try Ayahuasca but somehow I think Ayahuasca would be better for the first time... I love smoking DMT but I think I'll love using Ayahuasca as much or even more...
I've only smoked DMT before, but the experiences I have had have been un-fucking-real. I would say smoke 50-60mg of good DMT before you try anything. It will show you just what it is capable of. And yes, DMT extraction is easy if you follow the directions, or so my friend said.
Yeah, I've actually been looking it up and it doesn't seem hard. Looks like I'll just do both. I feel so industrious. Oh and by "do both" I mean do one and then the other on separate occasions... though drinking ayahuasca and smoking DMT once you're tripping sounds unreal, haha.
I love changa and ayahuasca..i cant choose a favorite between smoking changa and taking aya..there both so unique and beautiful in their own respects. Aya is like a re-calibration of your entire body chemistry..its really remarkable how big the changes can be in you after just a few times..and the experience itself is mindblowing and deep. Especially when microdosing(5g caapi) daily for a week or so.. If your going to combine the two i suggest smoking changa while on a caapi-only brew..or only a low dose of the dmt admixture plant added, atleast until you have more experience with them..i did it once and it was remarkable but intense as hell and lasted quite long.
I haven't done either but plan on taking a trip to S. America for a weeklong session with a shaman. I expect it to be a deeply moving spiritual experience.
Ayahuasca. It is a fairly simple recipe and a GREAT pay off if done right. I like aya more so than mushies. Having never smoked DMT I wouldn't be able to compare it but I've heard similarities. All you need is.. 10g of root bark, 3g of seeds, 2 lemons, 2 500mg of vitamin C (100 count bottles are like $4 at the store) some panty hose to strain the materials and thats it. For the root back you can go as low as 6g and as high as 20g (not recommeded first time) I say 10 grams is a good starting point. If you need a good recipe I posted one on here a while ago http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=392856&f=457
Its not ayahuasca without the banisteriopsis caapi vine. The vine is also known as aya, even when its not used with a dmt admixture plant. There are alot of things in this vine which give it its unique affect on the mind/body. Forget rue, unless your doing a manske on it. Then its just pharmahuasca basically.. but still this is a great experience as well..especially because you can keep redosing
Thanks to everyone for the tips-- I ended up modifying existing recipes to make my Aya analogue. I'll post a link to my trip report when I'm finished.
ayahuasca is amazing. I would recommend even to my children when they get a bit older, that is how much I love it! Nothing to be afraid of, something to respect of course. Aya's spirit is amazingly sweet, and she teaches you so much.
