Just did one of my online quizzes for maths.

Got 80% on my maths exam the other day which I'm quite happy about, best result I've had for this subject this year.

Kinda bummed i'm not out camping and having a few drinks with all the rest of my friends because I had to work today and tomorow and have a fair bit of study to do before a test.

But I'm seeing Dead Letter Circus tomorrow night, so that makes everything alright. Even if it is by myself :/ lol

 

Got a lot of nice things in the post from Lush.

 

My niece was here last nice screaming at the top of her lungs at 3am. I had to meet my mentor at 7am. So, I'm tired now.

My boss is a research retard and we discovered that our research may be unsound and biased b/c she sucks at interviews...

Oh, and apparently I'm officially a nominee for the Peace Corps now. So, now for about 5 more months of red tape...

This has been an interesting week, found out i may have Haemochromotosis, went from +300 euro to -1700 euro without leaving the house, but i got this dread bun thing going on that im quite proud of, this is how im spending my saturday night because of the above mentioned broke-ness anywhoo pic of my dread bun

Today I re-arranged my knitting drawers and packed some books. I have 2 large drawers full of wool, and a small drawer full of un-finished projects. And a whole folder full of "to do" patterns. Corr.

Blacksmithing like a motherbitch, made some anvil stakes and a fire rake, the forge needs a bit of work because it's not really getting hot enough (can just about get thin pieces upto yellow heat if you give it a few minutes) I don't know weather to up the voltage on my blower for greater airflow, or try and spread the tuyere out a bit so I get a larger "sweet spot" (the airflow is probably a bit fierce)

Charcoal that has been suitable smashed into bits with a hammer. I'm probably going to go find a coal merchant that will sell me coke beans (charcoal is way too expensive, especially at petrol station prices) Ive done some reading and I'm thinking maybe I just need to make the whole fire 2 inches deeper, you need to learn to spot the oxidizing and reducing sections (and then stick things in the middle of the 2)

 

Beautiful day here in Dallas, in the middle of a cool snap (94º). White Rock Lake Park is about 1 mile from my house. Love to hang out there.

 

Cleaned the windows. First day below 95ºf for weeks so it was a must to get the shit jobs done. Temp back up tomorrow.
