Lost one dread at a party

Some fool cut off more than half of one of my locks at a party.I hadn't closed my fist to anyone in more than 2 years but I bet him round the house. I feel bad cause I lost my temper but it felt so wierd to be sittin there holdin one dread in my hand
My friend shirley stiched it back on but now I'm afraid I'll loose it and not notice till it's lost Bad Buzz

 

I know how you feel but - in the end its just hair and it will grow again anyway

ive always been scared of someone doing that, people do stupid things in my town. ive lost a couple of tips before and its made the end go all frayed.

They are 2 years old but still short as far as dreads go, they were only like 4inches when I started them and spent 2 years waitin for them to get shoulder length now one of them is back to square 1. Whats the best way to stick it on properly ???

 

how did this even happen? did he just happen to have a pair of scissors and you didn't notice?

maybe use some hair, or synthetic hair to sew it back on. or just leave it.

 

It's a bit shit that someone cut it, but I'm guessing you have 30-50 more dreads up there.. It's not the end of the world.

 

I tried to sew one of mine back on and it kept falling out, and it looks stupid but it's slowly growing. There's not much you can do now you've beat the shit out of the guy.

I've been nervous about that sort of thing happening around stupid, disrespectful, drunk idiots who don't understand quite how much dedication locks take or quite how much I would hurt them if they did.

I suppose that makes me all sorts of immature. But if someone fucks with your dreads, they deserve whatever they get.

*edit* if the sewing falls off, IMO you should just take it as a battlescar.... Don't worry yourself more than you have to over it.

I used to have nightmares when I had dreads that my hair would be straight again.

 

Now if I was getting paid just to sit around and be a jerk off and let my friends do fucked up shit to me, then that's a different story.

 

My knuckles are all bruised and swollen since, So I guess his face is too, he ran from the house as I was tumping him So I dunno . I prob shouldn't of went so mental but fuck it it's done now, I'm still very much pissed off .I suppose if I do get it to stay on it's going to loose it's colour anyway????

It went really thin, I tried repairing it and it fell off a few weeks after, sewed it and lost it again.

 

I really dont wanna loose mine I only have like 32

Same I wake up frantically patting my head to see if I still have mah babbes.

 

The color is going to be the same either way, they just change from wear/sun bleaching, all hair is dead, it's just protein, so not being connected to the rest of the dread won't change things.

 

Cutting off someone's dread= gray area for assault

beating someone's face in= definitely assault
