"If a law is deemed immoral by you, you must disobey it." Jack Kevorkian So luckily for us I feel we do live in an age of enlightenment. For the first time in human history there is a wide spread acceptance of blacks, jews, gays, marijuanna users, free lovers, and people of every sort of beliefs and practice, for the most part. Granted it's not perfect, but it arguably better than it has ever been. now, It's obvious the more people who advocate these things and stand out for them are the ones with the most success. A big help in this are holidays. There are gay pride days, cannabis day is on 420 in Canada, and there is every ethnic holiday from Puertorican day to st patricks day ect ect. Somehow through all this acceptance nudism has been left out. were okay with everyone's skin color and beliefs and practices, but still have a problem with the naked body. America has only a fraction of the nude beaches Europe has, and the naked body is treated like a mortal sin around here. I propose if one does not already exist we should make a nudist holiday once a year where people have barbecues or whatever in their backyard's naked. It would have to be only on private property, and no lude acts should be visable to anyone We will no doubt be harassed about it by authorities the first few times but the more momentum a movement has the harder it becomes to penalize. Don't let the people fighting for your freedoms by risking themselves be in vein because your too chicken to chip in. Team effort, team win. I haven't been able to come to a conclusion as to my opinion on if children should be aloud to participate. My first reaction is to say no, at least not in the beginning because that may be pushing the envelope on an already sensitive subject. Maybe once nudism become more generally accepted it could be normalized, but an 18+ rule should apply initially i think. Thoughts?
I can't see that happening in the US for a few generations a least. The prude/religious culture is too entrenched. As for the 18+ thing, I think that there's no need for such a restriction, it would just reinforce the idea that it's somehow "perverted" or sexually orientated, which ideally would not be the case. That said the same prudish types would probably not hesitate to leap onto the "think of the children" and "stone the paedophile" bandwagons. Either way, get back to me when you can show a crotch/breast on US TV (that's the first step ^^).
