Yup, one's without rubber bands in them :)

You shouldn't have combed them out though, they look fine.
Plus, having to back comb several times I can't imagine being too good for your hair.

So next time should I keep the rubber bands out?
and someone told me i had to keep my roots separated from each other, how exactly does one do that?

Unless you wan't something like this

But also, they restrict the movement of your hair, and doesn't allow it to knot and move around freely as it wants too.

Just by pulling the dreads apart from each other. If you don't, they tend to knot together and form congos. I just grab the two locks that are starting to dread together and pull them away from each other. You can hear the hair ripping and being pulled out.

yes no rubber bands. If you backcomb...just do so and then let them be. Your hair will look like shit for about a year. As noted above...to sepearte you just pull apart. Wash one to two times a week or as needed.

In my opinion, the pulling apart method of sectioning is pointless as it does not produce permanent results so I prefer to cut or pull out any connecting strands or mini sections of hair.

and how long have you had your locks, goblin?

i disagree with your statement. for the first 5-6 months you may have to rip apart a few each day to prevent webbing. after they get a bit more mature you barely have to rip. cutting them is risky, but can be done.

I've had mine for 10 months now.
That makes sense if they're just "webbing" together, but I was mostly referring to strands of hair that were rooted closer to one dread but got backcombed into another which leads to new growth matting into one dread and the backcombed hair in the other dread. This is the situation that I had the most so I preferred attempting to just pull the backcombed hair out of the dread then just leave it to mat in the dread that it is closest to and I would only resort to cutting when I couldn't pull it out.

i let my dreads for by them selves then if wanted two shitty ones to fuse together and mkae a grand master dread just put a elastic in the middle and at the top but just so the hairs stick together but not for like 6 months from where you are now
