Ok I wanna make my own PC Grow Box . And I want to have all CFL Lights. I Wanna put 2 or 4 Cfl's 10-20W each is that enough?If not how many and how much Wats? .Growing marijuana ofc . Thanks (Sorry if there is onother post like this)
Hey man, I am doing a small pc grow box myself after one previously failed attempt I'm starting aknew! I think I am going with 2x 14w CFLs and 1x 68w CFL ($14.97 from HD) that will put a broad spectrum in my box for Veg, and I may change them for flowering not sure yet... but what I am doing (and suggest to you) is getting a 6-outlet Surge Protector strip and getting 3 Outlet to Socket adapters ($2.29ea from HD) and mounting this into my PC.. I wouldn't mind hearing your ideas on a pc grow box and maybe see some pictures if you got em
I would.nt know about pc case grows too hard for me lol. But normal grow cfl 50-80 watts per square foot.
What I have always heard is... "THE MORE THE BETTER, MATE" of course he could have been talking about the pot and not the light? No, I'm certain it was the light! Just make sure the amount of lights you put in there have plenty of cooling! Don't want to turn your pc into an oven!! (and consequently turn your girls into jews..... too soon? ) But the "REAL" thing that matters is the temperature of the color a.k.a Lumens ! "WHAT?!?!" you say! The temperature that your light gives off is basically the "spectrum" or type of light.. This is measured in kelvin CFLs tend to be in many light spectrums such as 4800k ,2700k, 1500k, 1400k ,and 900k (there may be more but this is what is common in my area and from my experience) "What temperature should I look for?" you ask. GOOD QUESTION MY FRIEND! The type of bulb you need depends on what cycle of life your plant is in. Vegetation a.k.a Main Growth For the vegetation period it is necessary for the plant to get 6000k lumens for growth. For this period I suggest that you get yourself a 68w(300w equivalent) 4800k Bright White CFL bulb and 2 23w(100w equivalent) 2400k Soft White CFL Bulbs. That way you have ample light for growth. Flowering For flowering, many growers keep the same lights they have for vegetation, but I believe the spectrum need for flowering is anywhere between 2400k and 4800k Lumens. I suggest that you take out your 68w bulb I mentioned before and replace this with another 23w 2400k bulb. This way your plant gets ample light in the correct spectrum. Some one may correct this if I am wrong but this is correct to my knowledge anyway Although i may be rambling haha I hope I helped my friend! KEEP GROWING!!
You can NOT expect good results with a tiny pc growbox...no way no how.....one branch of my shortest wouldnt fit in there....i want some one here to say what they think they can yield out of this rig?....seriously...waste of money and time.. what are you gonna do? roll tiny little spliffs with your tiny little buds?get a tiny girlfriend so she thinks you have lots of weed LOL
Ahh, Rolling Along! you doubt the mighty power of marijuana!!! In a PC Grow box you can get a decent amount of yield!! I'm not saying that you can get like 1-3lbs NO WAY!! (unless you had an army of PCs!! but you could get ATLEAST an ounce of smokable herb if you do it right! ScrOG or LST are two techniques that can be utilized into growing a good amount of herb in little space! I'll show you soon rolling!! I will be doing a grow here shortly!!
Ill tell yeh what.. you can if you leave the plants alone!!!.. people with small growops tend to yanks plants soon they see some crystals.. truth is plants are not done for a long long time under such small lighting. may take 12 weeks plant to finish.. I put plant under 360w/hps alone they will not do very well at all.. just not enough ummpf, but give it enough time that will be some rocket ship weed but takes longer to mature, especially a full grow plant.. But yeah, little CFL grow ops are hobby and trendy, you want weed get up with 600watt hps or least 900watt then were talking MARIJUANA you can be proud of..
I think its all a matter of what you need, no a pc grow would.nt keep me in smoke for more then a day but ya know some ppl dont need or wanna to produce hue amounts of cannabis.
THE THRILL!! That's what I'm in it for (I mean that and the weed that plays a part). I love tinkering with shit, when I was little I was I was always taking stuff apart and figuring out how it worked! Its def like an obsession for me.. I love it!
