Worked tonight. Had an exam at uni today.
Am happy because it's the first exam in a while I've felt really quite confident about that I did well.

One of my earrings fell out, and I don't have any to replace it. So I'm thinking I'll put the ring from the first hole into that, and then i've got a small stretcher I might try put in. Then perhaps stretch that up to the same size as the other ear.

Although it's a little spiral horn and I'm worried about it getting caught in my dreads

Threw spoons at coho on the Skeena for a couple hours last night. My dog found a rotting humpie and ate half of it. Washed her, then went out to a neighbour's house for a few drinks.

Today we are having a bbq at work to celebrate the season being over. Playing the first hockey game of the season, then driving 5 hours to meet up with my girlfriend for a wedding.

Just got back from a lecture primarily about BP, the oil spill is way under exaggerated. *Puts Tin Hat On*

We were told that the Gulf is where ninety per cent of Hurricanes originate from and the massive winds are sucking up this chemical from the oil and dispersing it over land, killing mass amounts of crops and will start to cause birth defects quite soon.

He spoke about debt and how Benazir Bhutto admitted that Osama Bin Laden is dead. The BBC tried to remove it from the internet, but so many people had seen it, they didn't want to be accused of censor ship. Anyway, it was a really good lecture.

I live in Florida. Drive 30 minutes and Im swimming in the gulf. BUT honestly it seems like no one cares about the spill. I only ever hear about it on the Internet pretty much. (and that is mostly a picture of oil covered birds that's been circulating)
it is very very under exaggerated.

Hope you've decided to stay out of the water. They're using a shit ton of despersant chemical called Corexit to unbind the oil. It is lethal at 2.2 parts per million and BP are forcing the operation against masks incase it looks bad on BP, some of these workers are already experiencing physical problems.

Shit that will piss you off further--They had the option to go with a less toxic despersant that the environmental agencies had approved, but Exxon black mailed BP by threatening to open up about what really happened, if BP didn't pay Exxon for the Corexit.

Loving Life in AZ. Will never ever move back to WI, no way... Love my job, hubby, and roommates, really doing a hell of a lot better down here. Only thing that sucks is it is to hot to hoop outside =( not to much space in the house either.. Thinking about finally putting extensions on, since my work doesn't care how my dreads look.

I have actually got some pretty nice comments by some clients, and they are the Richy snob looking type people too. I must agree from what a lot of people have said on here about getting jobs with dreads. If you have the skills and qualifications for the job you are after and really wow them at the interview, your dreads really don't matter and they will hire you for you and not tell you to cut. So next time someone says they cut because they had an interview to go to I am going to laugh, because it is not necessary.

    Have a wonderful day everyone

    hell yeah liz!

today my sister won a "'spa party" soi think i get a facial and a make over. hopefully it's not a total sales pitch.

i have decided to leave my job at the massage clinic to focus on my research and school. there are so many reasons, but the biggest one is guilt at the moment.

in other news i am soooo smitten with my jeffrey campbell clogs (maybe this should go in the goddess thread)

Gah Claire that shit is shit.

I finished the baby blanket I have been making (in King Cole Cuddles for those of you who know the epicness of it's softness) and will be sewing it together tonight ^^

Been thinking more about glassblowing. It's freakin cool. I need to know how big the competition is for places at the studio, which may ultimately make my decision as to whether I follow it as a career. But hey, basing a career on it's competition should make me want to push myself to be top of the pile! Gah I'm so lazy sometimes. Fickle and lazy. I don't know how anyone puts up with me xD

I've been sitting around chatting online, while making sure this trammy works. I get to mow the lawn later & do some other work for my family to make some money. Finally, I hope to get a pipe today so I don't slice my lungs up with this aluminum shit.

I'm getting caught up on editing wedding photos for my friends. I can't imagine being married right now! *shiver* but they are awesome, so i'm happy for them!

My sushi job is going pretty well. after making it, you gain a real appreciation for it and it actually tastes better! if you ever go out to sushi and it is good, be sure to say thanks to the sushi chef. it is appreciated! :D

and +1 for liz's comment. I got 2 jobs recently and I have dreads. it's about your personality, determination, and what you can offer as a person. if you ace your interview with whats inside, the hair doesn't really matter.

hope everyone's having a delicious day!
