religion != god (!= means does not equal to) i noticed no one here refuted the before question. i am yet to get a straight response from any atheist as how anything could have a true starting point without the existence of something that defies human logic.
Agreed. Why must the universe fit human logic? Humans view their experience as "the present"; but logic says that there is no present. If there is a beginning, middle, and ending. Then you can slice that middle into a beginning, middle, and ending. Any now, can be sliced into a new before, now, and later. Any second can be sliced into three third seconds. Any nanosecond into three nanoseconds. Etc. Spatial time, itself, defies logic.
Exactly my point. We are made up of this and that, according to our own observations, but it is all just the reorganization of something (or nothing) that has always existed. Something eternal.
What is the eternal driving force? Why is this something eternally reorganized into everything we experience and beyond? How?
you people on this site are screwed up. i am not saying any thing about your beliefs but you need to get them straightened up. how can you say that there is no God how do you think that world got here and the stars and everything else in this world. i am even ashamed to be part of this forum you all can banned me if you want but i am stating my opinion as well as yours. do you think that there is an afterlife i do it is in Heaven or Hell and you all need to know that. if you dont believe me there is books out there one called 23 min. in Hell the other is called 90 min. in Heaven get them and read them. they are about people that have died and gone to each place and was brought back to life and have wrote books about there experience in each place. or get a Bible out and read it that is what you people need to do.
This doesn't answer (as far as my mind can tell) how change can occur in an eternal existence. Reaper-you can say whatever you want, but you won't convince very many people of anything with that ignorant, negative attitude. Not an insult, just an observation.
And we should keep these questions alive; not assume that man knows everything, and not assume that this force must be intelligent, or a being.
thedope-how? duck- if everything is only the reorganization of what always is, how are we alive (and aware)? how is everything else not alive? also, i really have no idea what intelligence really is, or if our source wields it. i do assume, however, that its existence is infinitely more complex than our own (and i can not prove this, so maybe we can leave it out of the discussion-i'm better at asking questions than answering them. )
I believe in life as that is what I know personally. If there is some sort of afterlife or reincarnation then Ill find out when I die but Im not going to risk living my life for such a huge uncertainty when one of the most miraculous things man has consciously experienced is right there everytime I wake up.
