Taken Kratom in SE Asia?

I may be planning a trip to somewhere in southeast asia, possibly Thailand. I know kratom is illegal in Thailand and Myanmar, but Ive read multiple reports of it being sold openly and people getting it without trouble. It even seems to grow in a lot of backyards. Im under he impression that its mostly found in thailand, but is spread all the way to Indonesia. Has any body traveled to SE Asia and come across kratom, either growing wildly, or being sold? Im curious to try real, fresh kratom in its homeland.

 

No to any of your questions but I have taken Kratom extract a few times which is supposedly significantly more potent.

If you have never done it before I suggest having weed on hand. The first time you do it maybe do kratom by itself to get the feel for it. I dont know I guess its a bit like vicodin, it was pleasant but nothing spectacular by itself. Mixing it with weed though is OMG amazing. I felt glued to the chair and a heaviness weighing me down that was strictly euphoria. Not a care in the world and just felt at complete peace. The kratom/marijuana combo is truly an amazing one. Try and get ALOT if you can, you can blow through this stuff' pretty fast. Its not super addicting but I made sure to do it everyday I had it.

 

Oh, I probably should have mentioned that Ive taken kratom easily 150+ times, both extracts and leaf. Im actually in the process of having four ounces of leaf powder and four ounces of whole leaf delivered to my house (goddamn mail takes fucking forever.) the extracts really arent more powerful, just a little more potent, and waaay more expensive.

 

I've traveled a fair amount in SE Asia and have to say that North America and Europe are better all the way around for consciousness expansion. At this point, I wouldn't use anything illegal in Thailand, Vietnam, or Burma. I don't know about kratom over there.

Cambodia is pretty open, but quality of smoke varies.

Lots of police around in Bangkok and Chiang Mai (for awhile they were forcing people at notorious nightclubs to submit to UAs). Pai may still be cool and of course Ko Phangan is good at Full Moon Party (but still have to be very careful). Ko Chang has some good areas. Many bad stories about Thai prisons.

Laos (especially Vang Vieng) is known for buys followed 10 minutes later by the police.

Burma is a police state and so is Vietnam to a lesser extent.

 

If you do kratom in the US you get high and go about your day.

If you do kratom in thailand, you get put in jail. And not a prety US jail where your free the next morning, your in asain prison surrounded by strange criminals in a strange land.
