what I want to do is gather up some mushrooms for the school year so I can easily tip whenever I want. I'm not sure if this is true or not but, where I live (Revere massachusetts 10mins away from boston) people have been finding liberty caps a lot, and I'm skeptical about that. because I know there are many similar strains that are activly poisonous. so I was just wondering if anyone knows if there are any liberty caps around my area, they woul be good to have for the school year.
im about 45 min outta boston where i live in western mass.. my friend finds mushrooms all through his woods so its possible you have them around. just dont eat them unless youre positive and have lots of eyes make sure theyre safe.
No I wouldn't doubt that they might grow there. Liberty caps can be found in the northern U.S. (New England, Washington, Oregon, etc). as well as Canada, primarily in October / November. But I don't think they'd be very common in MA.
here is what to do,after a 2or3 days of raining go to a cow field and look for cow shit with mushrooms growing out of it.
Oh shit I'm from revere too! I found some lib caps around this field in suffolk downs. you should search there. I've never been but a lot of people around school make a big deal about it.
