I just saw the trailer for Piranha 3D and it looks pretty epic. It comes across as cheesy until you realize the movie is in 3d and the fish are probably going to pop out of the screen and bite your face. I know Kelly Brook is in it and she is currently on the cover of Playboy. On that note, Riley Steele the porn starlett is in this also. I am pretty excited and I definitely want to go and get some beers at the pub and then check out Piranha 3D at the theaters after work. Jolly Snip Snaps.
I'm heading out to see this one tonight and pretty psyched... The director Alexandre Aja is always pretty solid.
This movie was everything I wanted it to be. Fun, campy, extremely gory, exploitation film with plenty of jumps and very memorable scenes. Well worth the 3-D price at the theaters! Alexandre Aja is well on his way to securing his own special little place in the horror hall of fame.
^Yeah, obviously not for everyone... If you don't like exploitation and camp horror then you obviously have no business watching it. Just like I have no business going to see High School Musical or Step Up 3D. For fans of popcorn exploitation horror only.
If I had known, I wouldn't have gone and seen it. Also, I can watch whatever I want regardless of whether I will like it or not. Just as I can state my opinion on a particular film.

You walk into an exploitation film and complain about the exploitation. It's one thing if you were like oh shit... Not just turn up, pick a film and watch it Besides that - I gave an opinion, who cares whether it was supposed to be that kind of film. I could equally say Saw was too gory for me. You asked me a question and I answered it. It's called Piranha 3-D for christs sake. Surely you at least knew it was a horror movie, right? And surely you at least glanced at the poster before you decided on purchasing your ticket... Not to mention this is a remake, there have been 2 PREVIOUS PIRANHA MOVIES! If you showed up at a theater would you know what to expect from a movie titled Jonas Brothers 3-D??? All I am saying is that all signs point to what the movie is... You are rightly entitled to your opinion 1000000%... If you didn't like it, you didn't like it... The movie certainly hasn't done well at the box office, but I'm guessing thats because there is a limited audience for slutty exploitation horror films about ravenous fish eating spring breakers in 3-D. I am very passionate when it comes to film and I guess I expect human beings to at least be able to draw some kind of conclusion from the title of the film and to be able to critisize a film for more than it's obvious content.

Yeah, you're right on that. No way anyone should have been blindsided by this movie and it makes no sense to go see something you know you won't like then trash it for what it is. I had seen the trailers as I go to lots of movies and elected to sit this one out. But I can understand there is a select audience for this kinda movie and I might watch it on DVD someday just for the hell of it if I am in the mood for such crap - I am not an elitist. I mean, I did watch Step Up 3D.
^Ha, yes it's all a matter of taste! I love trashy exploitation films! And I secretly liked the first Step Up, but wouldn't force myself to see the rest of them - because I know better!
