"Minor planet number 44016 has been named in honor of Jimmy Page, lead guitarist with Led Zeppelin. (44016) Jimmypage is in a 4.30-year elliptical orbit around the sun ranging in distance from 332.5 million km (at perihelion, closest point to the sun) to 458.9 million km (at aphelion, furthest point from the sun). " wierd
i just copied and posted it... from www.led-zeppelin.org i dont know if you could see it you probably could if they named it.. i mean how would you know where it was or if it even existed if you couldnt
yeah and on that planet i wonder if there are a whole lot of guitarists running around stealing riffs and things to make a fortune off of other peoples talent.
i love him too... he is good... nice and biased.. nice and biased... yes he did do some of that... but would you give what you earned to someone or someones relatives??
I saw that stuff about planet Jimmy on the Harvard site... I think it's a bit weird but I love Jimmy so I don't care
true... nowadays lots of 'music' seems to be what people think the masses want to hear, and they base it off of what is out there... and often steal a riff or 'trick'....
In my years as a Zeppelin fan I've seen this put forward too many times to mention.. It's like the cliche thing to bash Zeppelin on.. Makes me laugh too... I mean *shock horror* a band wears their influences on their sleeve for the first year or two of their career... Like Cream didn't do exactly the same.. Even if I were to give this viewpoint any serious thought, it wouldn't be Jimmy Page to be labeled a theif as his guitar parts are very him (apart from the occasional straight cover, e.g. Black Mountainside)... It was the lyrics that were lifted from old blues and folk standards in the early days especially.. Anyway, this holds no weight with me. :H
