I've got a rather amusing situation in my house. I don't get why my dad will not by some sort of filtration system for our tap water, otherwise it tastes weird. It is due to that, we have a sh***on of bottled water sitting in our house.

Any random thoughts of ways to encourage the situation toward just getting a filtered tap?

Do some research and find out some of the nasty health effects of chlorine, flouride, and heavy metals, and show your father what you find. It may just persuade him. Any I would reccomend getting a filter that gets rid of flouride and chlorine, and not just heavy metals. That kind of filtration system will likely be expensive, so you can always just get a water culligan and get refills from the safeway/superstore or whatever grocery store you go to.

You can buy small jugs with filters, if you are that bothered by the water just buy one of those.

Yeah, I guess we've mentioned getting one of those jugs.

And, there are some relatively cheap (Brita) filters that go on the tap.

I think my dad is convinced it's just no one has budged or done anything about it yet. Though if my dad is not supportive of it then it usually won't fly. Does that make sense?

    1. plastic bottles are bad for the environment and you have to take the trash out more often.
    2. It is cheaper to buy filters than water
    3. Its a lot less weight to bring from the grocery or up the stairs.
