First off, yes.. I have to ask this.

Second, I take around 30mg-40mg 3 times a week or every OTHER day. I am just wondering if that is enough to start getting withdrawals? Am i addicted? When i stop, the next day I feel fine, somewhat refreshed. Im just wondering 40mg hydrocodone is not alot right? Thats like, low for drug users right?
I just love this stuff, honestly I can see myself getting addicted if i do it every day, but i am able to hold myself off. The worst i ever felt NOT doing it was slight depression, but i was already a depressed person since im taking anti depressants for about 2 years already so its nothing out of the ordinary.

Id appreciate some replies or thoughts..

anything you use to cope will cause you to become addicted. if when you feel depressed you eat skittles you will become addicted to junk food. opiates are almost a sure fire road to addiction. It starts small and will sneak right up under you. Take it from someone who has lost well over 20 friends to rehab...opiates, from percocet to heroin and anything in between leaves you with a 90% chance to have a life long problem. Given the fact you already struggle with depression I'd say you're a prime candidate. i wouldn't worry so much about the dosage and physical symptoms so much as your desire to do it and mental dependance. you may not physicaly need it, but the first time you get in a real funk and feel like the only thing you can think of that would bring you out is some blue's You. Are. Fucked. there's no un doing it.

are you a smoker? if so, do you remember the first time you ever REALLY wanted a cigarette? i think you can see where i'm going with this.

best advice I can give you man, is kick that shit while you still can. Get yourself a better bud dealer and if you need to switch it up fuck around with some hallucinogens. Opiates are truly the worst class of drugs known to man as far as how they affect the people. I think the reason you wrote your post is because you already know this ;)

appreciate the help man... I totally understand, i already know i can become addicted to it because its the best drug ive ever tried and ive done alot.
I used to smoke weed from time to time, i used to love it smoked every day but that was before i was depressed.. ever since i was depressed smoking is kinda like nothing to me now i dont enjoy it as i used to.. so i understand, im probably gonna drop it down to once a week or so.

I dont feel like i NEED it every day man ive just started doing it 2 weeks ago. I can stop whenever i want, and ill start tomorrow, ill do it once a week now..

but I have one last question, is 40mg even alot? Have you/know someone who, taken alot and did it alot a day and didnt experience withdrawals? thanks man

40 mg's of Hyrdrocodone? no, not really. Especialy if your eating it,that's a fairly moderate dose.
for you to be physically sick you'd need to do that maybe twice a day.

just please head my warning brother. It's a slippery slope all the way to the bottom. Best of luck to you.

No one can truly tell you if you are addicted thats a decision you have to make on your own. How do you feel? Forget all the bullshit about how much you take how often. Do you have to take it? Do you feel the need to have to be on it, psychologically or physically? Withdrawals anything like that? I know plenty of people that abuse the shit out of drugs but they arent addicted to them. You may have a problem but its up to you to truly figure out if your an addict

I mean I dont feel the NEED to take it, i just like how it feels so i do it... theres a difference from me just loving it, to me shaking to the point where i NEED it to feel normal, thats not how i feel.
Its just that when im bored, i just pop some.

    William Burroughs.

The use of opium and opium derivatives leads to a state that defines limits and describes "addiction"--(The term is loosely used to indicate anything one is used to or wants. We speak of addiction to candy, coffee, tobacco, warm weather, television, detective stories, crossword puzzles). So misapplied the term loses any useful precision of meaning. The use of morphine leads to a metabolic dependence on morphine. Morphine becomes a biologic need just as water and the user may die if he is suddenly deprived of it. The diabetic will die without insulin, but he is not addicted to insulin. His need for insulin was not brought about by the use of insulin. He needs insulin to maintain a normal metabolism, and so avoid the excruciatingly painful return to a normal metabolism.

If you can stop if you want to, my suggestion is to want to stop. I know posting things like this can get people in a huff and make them do more shit to prove the advice given wrong but this is a thread that did specifically ask about addiction.

    Good luck.

No you don't. You know in your heart your addicted, it's a vicarious attempt to live through someone else's misery, to be relieved your not the only person in such denial about your substance abuse.

Don't mean to be sound callous, but I think if you're taking anti-depressants anyways- you're a bit irresponsible in trying to medicate yourself. Furthermore, you're obviously not fully serious about trying to improve your mental situation if you are taking opiates as well, so it begs the question

are you even taking your anti-depressant drugs for the correct purpose, or are you just addicted to those as well? It sounds like you have put all your faith and habit into taking drugs. I advice you to seek help.
