It depends what I am tripping on. On MDMA i usually tend to listen to a bit harder stuff on Ketamine I listen to a bit softer stuff and on the traditional psychedelics anywhere in between some of my favorites are: Shpongle, Tool, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Chemical Brothers, Shulman, Hallucinogen, Entheogenic, The Doors, Grateful Dead. I chose techno though
On coke some nice fast, hard trance is nice, and occasionally on other drugs I'll listen to a bit of Sigur Ros but other than that I find I really can't listen to music when I'm tripping! E and acid and mushrooms, I just prefer nature or tv in the background:O
it depends for me when you say any drug... Ecstasy - Techno/Hardstyle (same when i smoke weed) Shrooms and the like - Pink Floyd, Ten Years After, Jimi Hendrix and those guys.
last nite i dosed 10mg 2c-p (12mg weighed) I let dose melt in for 5 hrs. and then i put head phones on and laid down with my laptop. i read a few worry about a darkness to this chem.not one to be messed with by the unready. It takes to long to kick in.When your thinkin"i think i just felt a tracer' the lucy doen pepole would be thinkin their ride is on the come down. Not this one. yr still un the up hill climb.
I freaking love Chopin, Beethoven and Brahms and a few others when I'm sober but MY GOD do they sound like magic when I'm drunk, on opiates or a mix of pills. (I don't do bud, I hate the feeling). Oh! P.S. I don't think it was in the options so I should give an honorable mention to this one indescribably amazing band from Detroit called His Name Is Alive. If you don't know them, trust me they are truly a great slow trip out/surreal band. Maybe good for the potheads out there?
I was listening to hallucinogen last night , great stuff on the synthetic psychs, I felt like I was a cyborg . Horrogram, trippy ass song
Rolling Stones's more mellow stuff, Pink Floyd, Lou Reed, I can even get the Led out on mushrooms occasionally. I always build a playlist on my ipod before a mushroom trip so that I know whats coming up and it usually works great.
I'm going to have to go with Classical on this one, surprisingly. Rock and Reggae would be my other choices.
Reggae if im blazing up. Techno/Dubstep is always good for any trip. And then you have the trips that just need some ambient/chill music maybe some sphongle.
1970s progressive rock (like old Genesis) and acoustic jazz (piano, upright bass, brush percussion) are the best psychedelic music.
improvisational, and experimental and of course 80s dance music this poll is good in theory but is there a reason jazz was left out? acid jazz with psychedelics is beautiful
PHISH!!!!! (listen to the song tweezer from the cd "A Live One" a while into your journey... crazy shit!). grateful dead too!!!
I think its better to listen to tracks from all your favourite genres. I'm half way through a top 1000 tracks countdown on youtube and the closer it gets to No.1, the more it becomes a music for drugs list.
