Low Dose Trippin and Driving

I drove on a low dose of LSD this weekend, only about 15 minute drive, was perfectly fine, the visuals did not interfere with my ability to see road markings and other vehicles and things, and I could focus on the driving fine. But I am a natural born driver so I attribute it to that . . . still wouldn't ever recommend it unless you really know what the fuck you're doing.

Ya I'll admit I have after a day tripping in the mountains last year. I really had no choice, but it was fine because at that point I was so at peace and coming down some, that I had no fear and was in complete control. There was also a lot of traffic out of the park and we didn't go far, so I never had to go more than like 30 mph.

 

One time my friend was driving my car while i was on 3 tabs and went into a parking lot seemingly just to rear end the Trader Joe's managers car. Anyway the retards there make a big deal out of it even though there isn't any damage but they called the cops anyway even with my friends and I pleading reason with them. After they knew a cop was coming all my friends booked it including the kid that was driving. I had to talk to a cop and then drive home. It was the most horrible ride home I've ever experienced. I've also driven for 6 hours tripping on shrooms but that was fairly pleasant, my body entered auto-pilot mode so my mind could stare at the foliage twisting and turning.

 

For the first time ever tempted to do a negative rep, but that's not how i roll . . . Perhaps my next rant will be about the large number of family deaths my husband and i have had to deal with due to the ultimate root cause being driving while intoxicated. Booo.

Didn't the Shulgin's in the Glossary of PIHKAL define the term "Idiot" as something to the effect of: Someone who would drive on a psychedelic substance for any reason other than an authentic life and death emergency.

I have driven on LSD twice and mushrooms once. Didn't want too, but didn't have many other options. Luckily all three were not during the first part of the trip but after peak effects were over.
Thank goodness I have over 30+ years of experience doing both and my driving record is impeccable (1 moving violation 29 years ago, 1 accident in 10 years ago).

I did one time go for a drive when frying with some others. 5 of us jammed into a VW and the driver would turn off his lights and shine a flashlight out the window and head into oncoming traffic.

That was the last time I got into a car with somebody who was intoxicated on anything.

I did drive home from a bar once after 5 kamikaze's. Lucky I didn't kill any one and I was much more on top of it driving on acid than that night.
Driving intoxicated just is not done in my household unless absolutely necessary. My wife lost both of her brothers due to drunk drivers two years apart when they were 18 and 20. They were not drinking in either case but were killed by some one else. So needless to say if I like my goodies where they belong I don't drink and drive ever. (hell I rarely drink)

I still would trust driving on a hit of acid more than on 5-6 ozs of hard alcohol.
