I occasionally have dreams that something happens to my skin. Usually something bizarre and disgusting. When I have these dreams, I wake up from them and touch my skin to make sure it's not a real dream. My last dream I had was like this- I dreamed that I had something growing on my skin. It's hard to explain what it looked like and I don't want to explain it too much. Sometimes I dream that black holes appear in my face or body. Sometimes parts of me become infested with maggots or sometimes I'll dream that my skin is dissolving or rotting. I always wake up grossed out and freaked out. It's a dream that I'll think about for a few days. What could this mean?
I remember learning that dreaming of things happening to your skin could reflect a fear of facing up to something.
