    1) LSD is completely non-toxic and it is virtually impossible to OD or die from it.
Just because the effects are so dramatic does not mean it is causing neurological damage.

    2) Absolutely NOTHING in the outside world has changed. Regardless of what your senses report, what you think or perceive to be happening, it is all taking place within and not without.
No, you did not just really dematerialize into sub-atomic particles and get reconstructed into a one celled organism and progress through the evolutionary ladder to your present form. It is just in your mind.

    3) Nobody else will know your tripping unless you tell them or act like a fool. Sometimes another experienced tripper can pick up on your state of mind. It's not magic or telepathy, it's just due to experience that the other person can tell.

    4) Most of everything you encounter in a trip is sourced from within you. Your mind and memories provide the majority of content for a trip. Sure outside influences play a part in your experience, but more important is how you respond to and interact with those outside influences. Almost all "bad" trips are the result of trying to resist the effects of the substance or being presented with personal material that may be emotionally hard to confront or process. Both of those types of trips can be brought under control by relaxing and allowing whatever may come up to be presented and dealt with. Often it requires nothing more than acceptance and observation.

    5) Don't be an asshole. You still have access to all the "rules" for functioning in society, use them if tripping in public. Don't use being under the influence of LSD as an excuse for dumbshit behavior. Often this happens with young or inexperienced users who think that they must act out externally what is happening internally.

    6) You won't turn into a glass of orange juice, stare at the sun until you go blind, cut your own limbs off, think you can fly and jump out a window, etc.,etc.
    See # 5.
If you do any of those things while on LSD, then you had major problems before you took it.

    7) If you understand that the majority of content is sourced from within yourself and not being sent from "out there" then you can utilize the experience much better in terms of personal growth and discovery. It demands a great deal of personal responsibility, as some of the things revealed may be hard to accept responsibility for.

    8) No matter how Earth shattering, revelatory and exciting, your experiences are, they are not new. They may be new to you personally, but not new on the world scene. The import and value of such revelations is in how you incorporate them into your personal life. You can share your new views with others, just don't get discouraged if they are not met with the same level of enthusiasm that you share them with.

    9) While you are still under the influence of LSD is NOT the time to try and proclaim your new found knowledge and enlighten the rest of humanity with your insights. You will more than likely just sound like a lunatic. Take some time to integrate and understand it. Learn vocabulary to help express and give word to your experiences. Remember a lot of what is encountered during a psychedelic session is ineffable, not able to be expressed with spoken word. The most important thing to understand is that the new revelations relate to YOU personally, not the entire population.

    10) Relax and breathe. It is not dying, it is being.
    :D

    LSD school :)

I've got a different version of commandment 3. For a start, I sanction telepathy and magic. At least on mushrooms. :D If you trip, everyone might know, so be bold enough, or just plain vain enough to expect something on this front.

And rule 2 needs a change. On drugs, or food as some would have it, everything has changed ( it just don't know it all up) so expect change, unless your food happens to be illegal and the lawmakers maintain a silence about the subject overall. In such a case one will ultimately have to act, so please be...expectant :D

    lol

What are we heavens pioneers for anyway? Surely not to say: Oh fuck, sorry, just looking in, can't stay, assignment due tuesday, and what would the folks say?

as far as #2, what changes when you take a psychedelic except for your perceptions? If you know of something that literally, physically changes outside of your own mind/body while tripping please let us know.

from this and many other of your posts I've read, I would say you need to take a break from the mushrooms. ;)

That's silly. It's also very detrimental to think like this. Who wants to be paranoid when tripping? I find it very annoying when my peers don't want to walk somewhere because they're afraid of being in public. It is very hard for other people to pick up on these things if you just walk past, or say very little to someone. Acid isn't really the first thing on people's minds, and if it is, then they are probably okay with it.

What's silly? That People may know!? If your friends are afraid of people thinking they're on drugs, I say they shouldn't take them in the first place. Possibly they should even start campaigning against them. lol

Man there is no fucking way you can hide that you're tripping if you're tripping face . . . you'll be red, sweating, bug-eyed, hyperventilating, looking around confused with a wash of emotions on your face, pupils filling your eyeballs.

I have the opposite annoyance, people who think they can go out in public on any substance on any dose. Sometimes ya gotta just say "No, I'm too fucking high".

Well yeah, I guess I should have been clearer.

    Adendum to #3:
If you take a "sit the fuck down" size dose of LSD, then sit the fuck down and don't attempt to go out in public, unless of course you are somewhere that most people are in the same state as you.

"Most people"? Psshh. The public is predominantly passive. It loves its private life. Let the purely personal accept nothing prohibitive from it!

Stop rubbing it in that I'm not on them! lol Or are you telling me in seriousness?! No-one is more mushroom than man. There's nothing to lay off and everything to usher in!

Don't forget, a tip for your mothers and a stab at all motherfuckers, Dionysus vs Lycurgus etc:

Mushrooms are telepathic, acid is merely pathic.
