so my dreadlolz are making a return.
I am excited and looking forward to it.
I suppose Im just gonna deal with having short hair for awhile, it will deff be worth it.
I am debating on doing twist and rip again or going neglect, havent decided quite yet.
this time around I plan on them being a good bit thicker than my last set.
will post pictures when the time comes :)

    first set 8 months maybe

    thanks mandy :)
and luxie, I brushed out my last set because they were shrinking sosososo much and I dont like having short hair.
I know! its the longest it has been since like 7th grade! thats why Im still kinda iffy about dreading it again, I kinda wanna wait another year or so to see how long it will grow. but i just dont know seeing you beautiful ladies with your beautiful hair is deff making the choice alot harder!

    Neglect. And do it now.

If it gets really long, strange things may happen with neglect.... like a massive, unstoppable, unrippable sheet of dread :p

at some point you reach a gray area as far as length. If you start with your hair really long and you go neglect (at least from the people I've seen) they experience majorshrinkage. It's just part of the process that you need to come to terms with. Either way you will lose a lot of length.

For instance, My hair was about 12 inches long before locks. Hair grows about 6inches a year I think. I am almost two years in and my locks are about 14-16inches long.

My hair shrunk lots. the long one is a little shorter than how long my hair would be without dreads. It eventually shrunk up, I miss it :(

Shrinkage just goes along with it. Worth it IMO.

Me dreadies shrunk, and have been pretty short since! Luckily i have wispy bits of hair at the ends that pop out, makes em seem longer even if they're not!

    I want em long!
