Distinctive tast/smell while tripping?

hmmm haha ive always noticed that when i trip i always have this specific taste i always tase and smell i always smell..if that makes sense

its like lsd improved my sense so much i can actually taste my own mouth (even though since its your own mouth you should have a "tolerance" to the taste) and that i can actually smell the inside of my nose! hahah

im weird..

 

I think i know what you mean about the taste. I too get a taste when I'm tripping. I notice when i'm all cottonmouthed. I suck at smelling though

same thing happens to be, i always find myself spitting everywhere haha its gross


and the inside of my nose..smells like...idk i cant explain it, its ineffable

 

well that's kind of disappointing, after 19 years you can finally smell the inside of your nose and now you can't even describe to us what it smells like.

yeah i've noticed the taste as well, im thinking you usually just don't notice the taste unless you're tripping. It's always been sort of a metallic type taste if that can describe it.

You're brain normally filters out sensations that are normally always there so we sense it as normal like the taste of the inside of your mouth, or the smell of your own nose, or even the feel of your clothes because that information is no longer useful. I have no idea if this makes sense at but when you're tripping you get everything.

 

Maybe its something to do with like your brain knows its poisoned and is trying to locate the poison or the origin of it or something so it enhances those area for a short time.

 

The valued intensity can increase dramatically on lsd. This is in contrast to an actual improvement in taste perception threshold, which may or may not be a real effect. Candies, chocolate, fresh fruit, wine, can be very enjoyable.

Occasionally there was a slight metallic taste in the mouth just from the lsd.

i usually know im tripping when i feel the taste so its whatever haha

 

My gums feel like they become rubbery on LSD and I get a bit of a dry mouth, I'm not really sure of this taste though. I do get a metallic taste on 2ci though so I can relate.

 

hahah now next time i trip ill probably be spending like half my fry trying to describe the taste and smell..

Whenever on cid, my mouth always has this weird taste in it... Kind of bitter and "metal" ish tasting.... idk!!!!
