this past saturday i went camping in a state forest with my girlfriend and our two married friends. we hiked with all of our stuff (tent, sleeping bags, chairs, cooler, grill, etc) down a path into the woods. we finally found a sweet spot to set up camp on some sand, by a stream. we set up the tent and got settled quickly. we decided to drop the LSD that we had decided we would do. (around 3:00 PM) actually my GF kinda decided right then that she would join us. each of the ladies eat one, my buddy eats two, and i eat three (finishing the last of my 2010 hoffman strip). i had warned them that these blotters were quite bitter but i was pretty sure they were LSD. this was my friend's wife's first time tripping, and he and my GF hadn't tripped in a couple years. they all agreed that they were slightly bitter, but didn't think they were as bad as i did. maybe i have sensitive (bitter) taste buds? we sat around for maybe 20 minutes and then decided to go walk up the creek. i didn't really want to smoke any weed yet, but my friend really did, so i grabbed one of my pre-rolled doobies and off we went. the joint really helped kick off the acid trip. only he and i smoked it. my GF seemed to be the first one to feel it, but we all agreed that it came on pretty fast. the view was amazing. the body high and the combination of walking barefoot up a creek was awesome. i was getting warping, breathing type visuals, but not that strong. this acid in particular seems to be light on the visuals, but still a nice heavy trip. i did see some very long trails (twang might have mentioned this with the hoffmans?) when my GF waved her arms around. i told her to spin them around really quick, and her arm looked like a full circle. we walked up the creek and back for about 3 hours. when we got back it seemed like the peak had passed. we had ran into a large family with little kids that really messed with our vibe. we tried to shake it off, but my friend's wife was being completely paranoid. she didn't think we could camp where we were. should though those people were following us, and she could not be reasoned with. it wasn't that bad though. after awhile of just hanging out, laughing, etc. we decided to make a fire and cook the food we had brought - sweet potatoes, onions, peppers, mushrooms, pork tenderloin, sausages, corn on the cob. we had not prepared well though, and now we were all on LSD. it was very difficult to get anything done, and we had several mini disasters. we found ourselves arguing with each other a bit, and not being able to function very well. it got dark QUICK. we managed to make all the food though, and it was delicious. i was ravenous by the time we ate. we spent the rest of the night chilling around the campfire and gathering wood to keep it going. i had brought two mp3 players with headphones so we took turns listening to those. my buddies wife got pretty annoying at times. she kept saying stuff like "i still feel really weird. have you ever felt like that?" no shit, you just ate acid, what do you expect? she annoys me whenever we hang out, but she's alright. i'm happy that i helped her experience LSD. and you guys probably know how awesome it is that my GF tripped with me again! i went to bed around 3:30, got up around 9:00 and felt pretty good - just a little groggy. started the day with my 4th and final doobie and it actually felt a tiny bit psychedelic. we went back up the creek to where we had been before. my buddy and i jumped off a mini waterfall a few times. then we called it a day. went back, tore down, and hiked the mile or so back to the cars with all our shit. it was fun as hell. my gf was saying how she wanted to make some changes - along the lines of "not sweating the small stuff" which is awesome that she got something other than a great time out of it. the next morning however she felt like crap mentally, which is why she doesn't really like acid. she could really walk up the creek in the morning and almost cried saying "everything sucks now that i'm not on acid." i think her mentality isn't really cut out for tripping. but we are both glad she did it. two days later, and i still feel a little scatter brained from it. 3 of these was much more like it. i feel like the trip would have been stronger if i was alone or with less distractions. i felt i had to be a bit of a trip sitter for my GF and we were also distracted by cooking and fire tending.
Sounds like an enjoyable weekend. I definitely feel like I have to 'detach' myself from the trip somewhat when intoducing people to hallucinogens or reintroducing them to ensure their safety. Your girlfriend spinning around with a complete circle of trails sounds really cool. Sorry your buddies girl seemed like she was kind of nusance or having trouble handling her shit, and tension can get kind of tight tripping when there are responsibilities and someone forgot something or stuff was not planned well. Also great that your girlfriend took something out of the trip. Might I suggest MDMA if she's looking for something a little bit 'easier' and wants to continue with psychedelics. Although that can have some negative effects come morning as well. Great report and I like the pics.
i thought about mdma as well. from everything i've read, that would be awesome to do with your lover. she doesn't mind that the acid trip is "heavy," she just doesn't like coming down from it she said she would maybe trip again next summer.
sounds like a great time. i love being out in the wilderness. interesting about your girl's take...i usually get that feeling after mushrooms...only time i feel that way from acid is if i smoke weed while i'm trippin. i get the annoyance too..i mean it's understandable since it was your bro's girl's first trip..but that shit can be a downer. i usually don't like my friend's girlfriends but i think that's cuz they'll take anyone they can out of desperation...they don't hold out for real connection. but that water looks awesome..the closest anything like that is out here is a 2 hour drive and a 3 hour hike into a canyon..and the hike out is a bitch! lol
Beautifully amazing! Love the waterfall and the clay walls. I have a similar setting by where I live, I also tripped there on 3 hits. Cleanest trip ever! Soo soo nice! That campfire sounds so good. Mmmm patatoes, corn, mushrooms! I'm sure this one is one to remember!
Despite your friend's girlfriend, it sounds like you had an enjoyable experience. Plus you were able to share the wealth of knowledge and experience that comes from an LSD trip. I like that you included pictures. That's the first time I've ever seen pics in a TR and they definitely added to the report.
yeah, i seem to do just that. need to take a break soon. actually the ladies did smoke from two of the joints later in the evening. that was towards the end of the trip though. and don't get me wrong, my friend's wife is a very nice woman. she loves the earth and animals, etc. but she kinda preaches it too much, especially to people who agree with her. i mean i fuckin love nature and animals too, and she tells me about it like it's brand new to me. she is unintentionally patronizing. but i've known her for a long time and i know she's a good person. i like her. our hike out of the woods certainly was a bitch. luckily we had eaten most of the food and drank all the water, so it wasn't quite as heavy. but we had to walk up a 50 degree or so angle! it's actually shale rock walls (with clay too probably) the type of rock that you can crumble with your bare hand. so fun to throw and shatter them. not the best thing to be looking up at though, since we saw a few piles of fallen rock bigger than your head. this trip was quite clean feeling as well. very very slight minimal headache on the comedown. i seem to be pretty sensitive to that though. the food WAS good, but that was the mini disaster i mentioned. my GF cut sweet potatoes, seasoned them with brown sugar, olive oil, etc. and wrapped in tin foil, and into a plastic grocery bag. i stupidly put it in the cooler like that, so they got wet. the tinfoil torn and some spilled on the ground when we were trying to cook them. then when they were done, we had no table or anything, so we were eating out of tinfoil on the ground, still tripping face the corn got ruined. we enjoyed seeing how far we could throw the ears though. the mushroom/onion/pepper mix turned out awesome, but was hard as fuck to concentrate on cooking that too. definitely a trip to remember. i think we all enjoy introducing people to LSD. i'm debating on whether or not to give my younger brother a taste.
if deers could talk,,, Does would say "Look DEER isnt that pretty,, look deer isnt that pretty, see that over there. and so on" .. Buck say. "Look DEER, STFU before I stab you in the fucking eye with this pointy thing on my head"..
i totally get what you mean. my girlfriend got really loud and talkative while coming up/peaking. i am more along the lines of being quiet, maybe closing my eyes and just listening to the sounds of nature and seeing how far the L can take me. the group dynamic prevents this. my friend's wife was actually being really quiet until she started to come down.
yes, exactly.. sometime you just wanna say nuffin at all, but sit/stand there, majestic like, absorbing it all..
good stuff porkstock! first off i love the pictures, it looks like a stunning place to trip. almost more importantly is the congrats that your girlfriend tripped with you!!! good stuff.
Yeah that's awesome . Her next morning reaction is typical, coming back to 'just reality' can be difficult in the beginning of taking these journeys. She must understand that this mundane reality is the same reality she enters on LSD, it is only her that has changed. Haha last time I went camping we tried to cook with 2 of us on aMT and 2 of us on mushrooms . . . was also struggles but we made it too, yummmmmm that river looks exactly like the one I hang out at! Down to the width and the shale rocks! I suppose this is a common attribute of rivers lovely pics sounds like an awesome time.
damn I wish I had scenery like that near my house - how far of a ride was it to that place for you? I'm assuming you're in one of the northern states by the looks of those birch trees.
Good report and great pics! Thanks for sharing. i appreciated your honesty and take from the whole thing that the more one can get back to nature (without interruptions expected or otherwise) the better and that one must be very very careful in choosing one's tripping partners. You get to see a person's real self, some of their essence, whether it be mean, playful, clownlike, fearful, childlike or all of the above. Peace & Love, Spicey Cat Purrrr!
i'm in NY and that place was an hour drive and a decent walk into the woods away. my gf took all those pictures, besides the 3rd one. there's some more in my album. spiceycat, i guess that was my message, in different words i am still glad that i tripped with them though. even though the ladies were somewhat of a distraction, they are the love of our lives. and i'm happy to have shared LSD with my buddy's wife, since she has a great personality for it.
