the bigger picture is very sad. the criminololololologist in me immediately noticed the poverty they live in . . . amazing that something as simple as a lack of resources can attract large scale human behaviour like crime.

ok my take, honestly? dude seems like an intelligent motherfucker. maybe he's mocking the media, maybe he's aware of the fearmongering and exploitation bullshit, and he took it and ran with it. it's written all over his face and his tone, in my perception. and in his opportunity to send a message to the dude who tried to hurt his sister, i can sense a real pain, a real anger. i watched the video a few times and i see a human.
