So lately i have been having all of these unwanted thoughts. Like i will be with my friends and alls i can think about is everyone naked. Or i will be with my family and i will start thinking about sex with them. I do not want to think these things it just happens. I also have been very paranoid of these thoughts lately, like i am afraid that i am gonna have these thoughts and then in turn i start to have them. Also every little ache and pain is something more, like every little thing on my body is an STD .

Any advice will help thank you

too much time on your hands and too little intellectual stimulation....

some thoughts are natural but when they become obsessive it can become a problem...

google "intrusive thoughts" if you are still having issues.

if your thoughts progress in any way i would think about maybe seeing someone for some medication or therapy to help control it, i had a friend who said she was on a certain SSRI (luvox in this particular situation) to help control her intrusive and unwanted thoughts. she said it helped her. not saying to go out and take medication, but just don't let it get out of your control.

omg my whole life revolves around these thoughts and noone seems to know what the hell im talking about...and hey i was wondering was it because, like me, you thought that someone was reading ur mind...cause if it wasnt because of that then i have no idea why anyone would encounter this problem...so, if not pls tell me where u think they came from.

btw i dont believe theyre are hidden desires (i cant explain how dumb that sounds to me), infact theyre the complete opposite. hidden desires are thoughts that have some time spent thinking about...these impulses are thoughts that are far from what we want to happen and they happen so fast theyre hard to control. and they lead to other thoughts too like, how do i erase this from my mind (oh ya be quick about it (XD)), and omg do i really want to erase a thought from my mind??? then u start coming up with a million answers...and the ALL seem to "remind" u, somehow, of the thought u dont want to be thinking about in the first place. like seriously, why am i trying to not think about something?...OH YA I REMEMBER? XD

so...does anyone know what im talking about? lol

Here's some Buddhist advice from a Christian. First of all, they're thoughts not actions. They probably aren't gonna be life threatening--unless you act on them. If you start tryin to have sex with your family, that'll obviously be a problem, but how likely is that? And if your friends family is like mine, they'll straighten you out quickly. The more you panic about the thoughts, the more they're likely to intrude.

You might try a little meditation. Try to get into a comfortable chair. Try to relax the different parts of your body, starting with your head, face, shoulders, back, arms, legs, feet. Think of some pleasant place you've been to and feel safe at. Focus on your breathing rather than the unwanted thoughts. If the thoughts come, don't panic, let them, but get back to the breathing. Try getting away to a quiet room for awhile, and just focus on the breathing. Keep doing this every day. If the thoughts come, don't try to block them, but don't get involved. You haven't asked for them; they're not your fault; they won't kill you; let the thoughts come, notice them, but don't actively get involved in a fantasy. This too shall pass; all things are transitory--except change. This is just a part of your life. You didn't will it. You're not responsible for it; don't judge it; don't accept it; don't reject it; don't panic; just observe; be aware; and breathe. Concentrate on your breathing--and that pleasant, safe place you identified. Be aware of all other parts of your environment as well; the birds in the trees, the sun shining on your face; etc. See how that goes.

On a less spiritual note, are you gettin enough sex?

I suggest discussing the possibility of OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) with your doctor would not be outside of reasonable consideration for a couple of you. That may not be a doc's conclusion, but they can probably offer you assistance with managing the intrusive thoughts anyway so certainly cant hurt to get the opinion of a professional.

someone needs to do some serious thinking about sports. Here's an innocuous image of a few men playing rugby, I think it will help

Nope, don't get enough sex, but as long as I'm up to it, and if the problem is to contact a plan again then I just have an excitingly disgusting day to go through. Nothing, I ever always felt to drag people down to any level, mine OR other; I'm excited Ayn Rand was exposed for the theatrical fraud she was in the twenties, and not only that, but the positive monstrosity the freaks of misunderstanding Her for Sartre is passing around over the MORAL thing Sartre shouts out: heck he was one of the two giants of linguistic mooding/demodifiying contingency thinking.

    Don't be aware: just breathe.

I think idealistically; therefore, nobody can tell ME how moral I AM.
