Namely the parts that were causing the shitstorm to begin with. A federal judge struck down the parts requiring immigrants to carry all their papers with them at all times, allowing the police to question immigration status, and making it illegal for immigrants to solicit work in public places.

I do find it difficult that if just because you look a certain way you are required to have appropriate ID, however if you have nothing to hide whats the bid deal? The thing is most have something to hide.... Then again I'm white and living in a average income household.

The big deal is innocent until proven guilty, not assumed guilt prove your innocent. How someone looks should not count as reasonable suspicion.

^ I want to agree with you, but it's not like innocence is actually assumed in court or anything

Technically it is, hence why you're allowed bail and a hung jury and some mistrials means you're essentially not guilty but without double jeopardy attached.

But there's even a review process for bail.

Innocent until proven guilty is just something we say, and as far as I can tell, that's all it's ever been.

But bail basically has to be granted minus being a serious violent crime/flight risk. It varies from state to state, I know some states bail is determined a day or two after you're arrested by a judge, here bail is set while being arrested unless appealed.

But the fact remains you are innocent until proven guilty, you're allowed to go on with your life in the meantime as long as you don't leave the country. You go into court under presumed innocence, the prosecution needs to prove your guilt, it's the defenses job to refute their claims.
