If the truth is being taught, then I am all for it and I hope it continues. What is wrong with teaching that anglos used to shoot, lynch, burn crosses, discriminate, etc, etc, etc? I always hear anglos say that history is history and we should just move on. But it is those same anglos who have the '9/11... never forget' bumper stickers on their trucks. Why should they never forget, but we should?

 

Im not saying forget, they have entire courses in schools devoted to the notion of white privilege though and the jews were killed in germany after germans were indoctrinated with the idea of jewish privilege. And so I agreee history should be taught as it is but there shouldnt be courses on the subject of white privilege.

 

Western ways are being devoured by the populace though.

Really if anything the rise of the Asian rim shows western ways =/= white culture, western ways = money culture.

I'm quite sure that I'd be more qualified to speak on the behalf of Blacks/Africans than you are. Regardless, I do agree (you need to change the wording a bit) with what you said about not wanting to be lumped with the STEREOTYPICAL american Black. I do not like being lumped with the STEREOTYPICAL american Black either. It is shameful the things that the stereotypes embrace.

Back to the beginning, simply because I find the first post interesting, & haven't read over all 10 pages...

Barefooted, I'm a white US citizen (Anglo, but mainly German, French, & Scandinavian...) & I thought about what you're asking quite a bit these last few weeks. Mexicans are statistically going to become a majority fairly swiftly, & so I was walking through a Mexican supermarket near me & yeah, it bothered me unconsciously for a little while, but then I figured whites were immigrants intruding in the new world anyways, so no need to worry. Just flow with the demographic changes, I figure.

That being said, this may be one reason for what you call Anglo racism, however, its probably not the main one, or even a very important one. The demonization happens along all sorts of different lines, whether it be nationalistic, racial, social, political, economic, blah blah blah etc borders. Or as happens in reality, a mix of all of these. For instance, a main complaint by the fucking conservative ass-wipes (I have my opinions ) is that illegal Mexican immigrants are taking their jobs. So its a racial, national, economic discrimination that leads to demonization here. Plus a hypocritical concern with law-abiding stuff....

Finally, I really doubt it is some sort of strategy for Anglo-Americans to maintain power...maybe a little bit, but I think more of it is unconscious fear of aliens, strangers, the unknown, etc.
