I've only met Finnish rock starts (if you can call them rock stars...). Ville Valo from HIM and Tarja Turunen from Nightwish are probably the only ones you guys may have heard of.

    Michael Stipe

    Peter Buck &
    Mick Mills of R.E.M.
They were cool. Michael Stipe is a pretty normal guy from the one you see in the videos :)

And Sully Erna from Godsmack. He was cool too, But really short!

wow! meeting REM would be really cool...

Ive met Dave McPherson from InMe at the Glasgow Garage....he was a very nice young man...not to mention really hot. He was really cool coz he made a conscious effort to tok 2 everybody - he was really grateful that we had all made the effort to stand around ,freezing our asses off in January, to meet him! lol. I also met Simon, the drummer from the same band - but at a different venue, the Glasgow QMU to be precise.

    peace and love

Hehe, well I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. :)
Mind you, back in the 90's when no one outside Finland had heard anything about Nightwish or HIM and they still played in these small clubs, there wasn't much audience and after the gig, all the band members usually just hung out with the people in the clubs and drank beer. That's how I got to meet them. They're much bigger stars now, so I very much doubt they'd do stuff like that anymore tho. ;)

I can't say I met him, but about 20 years ago I seen Bob Seger in a record store. As he was paying for his purchase, we both nodded hello to each other.

Don't know if there is anyone I want to meet. But I would have liked to have been at Benny Goodman's 1938 Carnegie Hall Concert. The Beatles final show at Candlestick Park, and/or any/all of their recording sessions. Maybe a couple other events/concerts.

    LOL
I cant believe I forgot Sammy Hagar (sp?) from Van Hagar (Van Halen but not).
He was wearing a lime green Armani-looking suit and ordering a cheeseburger and a Vanilla shake at Johnny Rockets in Hollywood. what A cheeseball!
and talk about surprisingly short people-
Les Claypool and Shannon Hoon were both way short. Les was like 4'3" or something.
