Hi Spud. Did you get to the fair?

 

For all the shit that hit the fan this year, for me this year has been, so far, on balance, great. After some 34 years I've reunited (at least virtually) with a whole bunch of my brothers and sisters (some of whom I had mistakely gone into mourning for) and I'm beating cancer (at least they tell me it's gone). Come Turkey Day and I will have an awful lot to give Thanksgiviing for (even though I won't be able to afford the turkey).

As a great rabbi once said "everything happens for the best" and I believe one must "Make the best of what happens".

And next year I'll get to that darned fair and maybe visit some of you.

 

Morning Y'all,
It's a balmy morning in east texas, the air is thick. I sit here at my desk, reading, reading the words of my tribe, my hippie family. I feel the oneness, the thread that weaves us together like fine silk. I see the many differnt patterns the weave makes but always conecting one thread to another.

Life is change, it starts at birth and contenues till death/rebirth. We are all part of a magical dream, an illussion that carries on into reality and manifests itself into Being. We create it by a simple thought and bring it forth into our destiny.

I miss our chats and the brothers and sisters who brought this board to life. I know I have not been here as much as I would like but I plan to change that and be here more.

I think that folks are using email to keep in touch. I dont use email much bc there are too many to write the same things to, so I post here.

I'm glad to see Dan is back.. howdy Dan.

I was wondering where all the OCF'ers were myself. Where are the stories and PIX y'all, let us shutins share in the excitment. Show the Love.

I'm leaving later today for Houston with my sister, I'll be back on wendsday. Kenny/All, thank you for your good energy and healing thoughts. You know how it goes.. A card reader cannot read their own cards, a healer cannot heal themselves. We have to call on our Angels to walk us though the rough spots.

You are all my Angels, the ones that showed up. The true esscents of what we hold/what we are. The sacred light that glows in our hearts, beats a rythem of love that makes our Spirits dance.

Every word that is typed here is a testamony to the Divine Love we share. We were/are fortunately blessed to be part of something so beautiful and lasting beyond time and space.

Kenny - I did not make it to the fair this year. We have a lot going on right now (trying to sell our house). We went to the coast for two days and stayed at a place called Casa Rubio which was great!

Very glad that you and the family made the time to get away to Casa Rubio. It sounds so cool. Smart man.
I was just now talking with my own brother about the idea of making the time to take a break from the stuff in life. Making a window and just doing it. My lady and I are rearranging the calendar to make a whole in the work schedule stuff.

There's still hope for us. Good luck with selling your house. I hope that you find a good solid buyer.

 

I don't know if y'all checked my earlier posts but GaGa called me when I lived in SanFran in '78 to tell me he was dead so obviously he took the cue and it appears he has been playing it off ever since. He had the mantra, "Hey, how about a little."

One a more serious note, I'm thinking of creating via Facebook and Twitter a new political movement and party. I want to call it the Amercian Party. If you are against us you are anti-American. Anybody in? Barack is blowing it, and in no way do we want to go with the party of W. It's all about the lobbyists giving those is in office the bucks to protect their corporate predation and for those in office are only concerned with getting re-elected. They banter constantly with their favorite buzz phrase, "The American People". But they don't give a shit about the American People. I remember when the last shuttle blew up and W. came and said he spoke for the "American People" as to how they were all devastated by the loss. I'm an "American People" and yeah, I was little bummed about it, but I was in no way "devastated". These folks were astronauts, one high risk occupation. Big chance they could get killed. They knew the stakes. So, no Georgy Boy, this is one "American People" that was not nearly as devastated as you said I was as you 'spoke' for me. A small point I know, but a point made nonetheless. And fuck the condescension of the networks and CNN and Fox and their holier than thou approach to the general public. Isn't it interesting how we are dictated now to what we are supposedly interested in? Are Lindsay Lohan's sitch or Mel Gibson's rants supposed to trump the loss of 25% of Greenland's ice mass in the last decade? Give me a fucking break. Let me know what y'all think. I'll post my ideas for a platform in the near future. Something has GOT to be done.

Cool, brothers. Here's some of my thought of getting it back. They (the pompous in power may think I (We) are fringe element maniacs that can be poo-pood, but we had the right ideas 40 years ago that have come to be part of the fabric of our culture. We were ahead of our time and now IS our time. These are thoughts at random so bear with me.

The abortion issue: Morally I am not in favor of it, but I am not a woman. Terminating a pregnancy is woman's private issue so therefore it should be funded privately not from taxpayer money.

The terrorism issue: Get out of Iraq, Pakistan, and Afghanistan NOW. Bring the troops home NOW! All wars have ALWAYS been waged for the domination of resources. Anyone who believes anything else is either a fool or uninformed. Yes, the Islamic fundamentalists are truly a threat but we are not ourselves any good by spreading our military assets so thin that we leave ourselves so porous. Bring our boys back and have them guard the borders.

Military Defense: The three most powerful military forces in the world...Number one, the U.S. military, number two the Chinese military, number three...One U.S. nuclear sub.

The economy: See the terrorism issue. We spend so much fucking money for such futility that it is obvious that the pockets of those waging those confilicts are the ones being filled.

Illegal immigration: We're all of immigrant descent, but legally so. Arizona has it right. Profiling my ass. Remember when we all had hair?

Taxes: It's either a consumption tax or an income tax. Both cannot co-exist.

Produce and Buy American: That's why we've gone down the tubes. Free trade and outsourcing have killed the common man/woman in America.

That's it for the moment.

Let's think about some "Tea Party" like events that might draw some attention.

Ya know, France celebrates on July 14th with the storming of the Bastille! Thousands of angry starving french people attacking and ripping down the King's prison on the east side of Paris. Pretty dramatic. All we get is a list of gripes that was written down and sent to the King of England. Sad.

I am with your statements basically 95% AND as you all know my days in D.C. allowed me to see and get to understand a whole lot about the system!!!

The current "WARS" well what the fuck I thought this was going to be ending with this election????? Bring all our VOLENTEER MILITARY folks home and save the money on the extended tours and the money to support this huge contingent overseas.

I would rather go low pro and if there are those who want to move over there and live with those peeps to try to understand why they think like they do and really try to UNDERSTAND through immersion and see if we really need to be ready to protect us as we are right now then SO BE IT.

BUT unless you become aware of the true reality placing HUGE FOOTPRINT makes us look like we are going to STOMP you out. That NEVER WORKS!!! We have the tecnology to see a lot of what is happening from the skys and could react from there if we are really going to see KILLING.

AND YES there are FUNDMENTLIST folks who do not want women to be part of socity and also do not like the fact that in a truly free Country a hell of a lot of stuff is allowed that may be objectional to some HUMANS.....and it should be, it is called FREEDOM. BUT FREEDOM also means that there are a LOT of things that some may chose not to do and as long as they are not killing, or making/forcing others to be like them (and those folks can leave if they want) then so be it!

There will always be differences but unless or until the BILLIONS figure this shit out then there will be problems. As I see it most problems begin at the local level and being free to make your IMMEDIATE PLACE better without taking more than needed will uasually get most people working for the same good shit!!! Real Free PEOPLE do not want to live in bad conditions. There is still a long way to go and not enough doers!! Make yourself an example and SHOW your trip to others but do not PUSH your trip on others and surprises happen.

Remember how exciting it is to see a very cool thing that you COULD DO if you want it makes you want to do it. BUT when someone trys to FORCE THEIR trip on you, you do not see the reality you see power pushing and a lot push back!!! WHOA NOW said enough on that and as ALWAYS that is MY OPINION ONLY!!!!! lol!!!

ALSO my BIG WORRY is I am seeing folks wanting to repeal the Electoral COLLEGE too!!....well the ONLY problem with that is the HUGLY populated Citys and States can dictate who runs the Nation and I am not sure that allowing 9 States to control the White House is the way to go and that is what could really happen with this change. There are a LOT of the rest of the population who are spread out in other not as highly populated places who will be irelvent if this happens. But that is Just MY opinion too.

I KNOW that the BUSH election haps in FLA has a lot of folks wanting to do this but that could turn around to bite us in the ass I think. Remember there have been three times as I recall when this has happened before in the USA. Popular vote TOTAL of NATION going for one but electoral count going the other way! Really think this through. Vermont, Montana, LOWLY populated states in Comparason to the LARGE populated areas will lose their ability to make a difference.

BUT Bill LETS get it going because it sounds like our peeps are finally wanting to be part of the mess instead of running to the woods and not being part of the process!!!! AND I STILL WANT TO BE ABLE TO RUN TO THE WOODS!!! lol

Bill I am also in the beginning of trying to get one or two HUGE national acts to take out a totally GREEN POWER PRODUCING Trailer that produces no emmissions (well almost none) for a totally GREEN TOUR capability. Showing how this can happen with huge productions will wake up so so many as to how we all can make it work WITHOUT THE GOVERNMENT fucking it up!! AS a very few here may know there are some of us who KNOW HOW and are proving that you can do this and produce all the power you need PLUSS but you have to make the commitment.

I was talking about the electoral College deleation that I have been reading about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes our STATE REPRESENTIVES should have the PRE 17th A Status again!!

BUT we all need ALL to count. Hope I do not bore all with a look on our Civics!!!!!!!! My kids did not learn POO regarding this stuff and I was amazed!!!!!!!
