Plaited dreadlocks

Would anyone happen to know if box braiding or plaiting caucasian hair can form into mature dreadlocks? i enjoy the thinner diameter and neatness of braided dread.

 

Yeah. Just make sure to do it tight enough that they don't slip out. Does your hair have any curl to it.

 

quite a bit of curl. thick too. ive had both braids and locks in the past and i look forward to maturing some locks this way. thanks for the reply.

 

I believe there was a thread on this and somebody showed a timeline of a woman who braided her hair and they did dread but it took like 7 years or something...as opposed to a few if you go an alternate route. I guess maybe it depends on the hair type factor too though.

yeah you can start em this way if you want, but they will look like braids.
