Makin Bells

    Do you have to actually pick out the seams to add fabric panels to make bell, or can you just cut up the seams?

    Best way is to pic up the seams so that way you have a good bit of fabric to sew onto :)

    You make them by unpicking the seam on your jeans/trousers and cutting a triangle of suitable fabric (or somepeople use a tie) and sewing it in place.

    I cut up both sides of the seam to make sidepanels. Just take the whole seam out. You could do this to make bells also. I don't think I would have the patience to pick out the seam.

    It doesnt takemuch patience with many tousers you just need to snip the bottom few strands and rip up and the cotton will usually snap, but it depends on the seam they used to start with.
